The prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence of the Lord. He is to enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way.”

君入時、必由門廊之道而入、亦必由此道而出、節期、國民欲詣主前、凡由北門入以拜者、必由南門而出、由南門而入者、必由北門而出、不可由所入之門而出、必由相對之門而出、君亦當在民中、民入、君偕入、民出、君偕出、

試觀以色列族、食祭物者、非有分於祭臺乎、所言何也、偶像豈足稱道乎、祭偶像之物、亦豈足稱道乎、惟異邦人所獻之祭、祭鬼魔、非祭天主、我不欲爾與鬼魔交、爾不能飲主之杯、又飲鬼魔之杯、不能共主之席、又共鬼魔之席、我儕可激主之怒乎、我儕豈勝於主乎、○物於我無不可、但非盡有益、勿求己益、各當求人之益、凡售於市者、食之勿問、免心有所疑、經云、地與地所載之物皆屬主、倘有不信者宴爾、而爾欲往、凡陳於爾前者、食之勿問、免心有所疑、如有人告爾曰、此乃祭偶像之物、則勿食之、因告爾之故、亦因心疑之故、蓋地與地所載之物皆屬主、蓋地與地所載之物皆屬主有原文抄本無此句我所言之心、非爾之心、乃彼之心、何使我之自由、為他人之心所非乎、我既謝主而食、何使人因我謝主所食之物而謗我乎、故爾曹或食或飲、無論何為、皆當為榮天主而為、勿使人躓蹶、或猶太人、或希拉人、或天主之教會、似我凡事使眾喜悅、不求己益、乃求眾人之益、使其得救、

爾穀酒與油之什一、首生之牛羊、酬願祭、樂獻祭之犧牲、及舉獻之禮物、非於各邑中可食、惟當食於主爾天主之前、在主爾天主所選之處、爾與子女奴婢、及居於爾邑中之利未人俱可食之、爾無論所為之事、皆當宴樂於主爾天主之前、

在彼在主前食之食之或作以祭肉筵宴且與眷屬可欣喜歡樂、因所為之事、蒙主爾之天主賜福也、或作在彼在主爾之天主前爾與眷屬依主爾之天主於爾所為之事賜爾之福筵宴歡樂

必使收穫者自食之、因而頌美我、使斂葡萄作酒者、自飲之於我聖所之院宇、○

我立於門前叩門、有聞我聲而啟門者、我必入其家、我與彼、彼與我、同席飲食、

其貲財及所獲之利、必區別為聖歸於主、不入庫、不積儲、為居於主前者所用、俾得飽食、且得衣美服、
