Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed[ difference] between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and[ of] the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem.And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.And what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against the LORD, and[ so] wrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not trespass.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering,[ and] my bread for my sacrifices made by fire,[ for] a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer unto me in their due season.And thou shalt say unto them, This[ is] the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day,[ for] a continual burnt offering.The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt thou offer at even;And a tenth[ part] of an ephah of flour for a meat offering, mingled with the fourth[ part] of an hin of beaten oil.[ It is] a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.And the drink offering thereof[ shall be] the fourth[ part] of an hin for the one lamb: in the holy[ place] shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD[ for] a drink offering.And the other lamb shalt thou offer at even: as the meat offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt offer[ it], a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour[ for] a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:[ This is] the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot;And three tenth deals of flour[ for] a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one bullock; and two tenth deals of flour[ for] a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one ram;And a several tenth deal of flour mingled with oil[ for] a meat offering unto one lamb;[ for] a burnt offering of a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.And their drink offerings shall be half an hin of wine unto a bullock, and the third[ part] of an hin unto a ram, and a fourth[ part] of an hin unto a lamb: this[ is] the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year.And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.And in the fourteenth day of the first month[ is] the passover of the LORD.And in the fifteenth day of this month[ is] the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.In the first day[ shall be] an holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work[ therein]:But ye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire[ for] a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be unto you without blemish:And their meat offering[ shall be of] flour mingled with oil: three tenth deals shall ye offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram;A several tenth deal shalt thou offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs:And one goat[ for] a sin offering, to make an atonement for you.Ye shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the morning, which[ is] for a continual burnt offering.After this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.And on the seventh day ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work.Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks[ be out], ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work:But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year;And their meat offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto one bullock, two tenth deals unto one ram,A several tenth deal unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs;

And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke,[ being] matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the LORD shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee,[ to] the right hand, nor[ to] the left.And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.And all the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously.

And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that[ was] before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel.And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.And he read therein before the street that[ was] before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people[ were attentive] unto the book of the law.And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah,[ and] Meshullam.And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people;( for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with[ their] faces to the ground.Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people[ stood] in their place.So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused[ them] to understand the reading.And Nehemiah, which[ is] the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day[ is] holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for[ this] day[ is] holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day[ is] holy; neither be ye grieved.And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as[ it is] written.So the people went forth, and brought[ them], and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day[ was] a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them,[ Concerning] the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim[ to be] holy convocations,[ even] these[ are] my feasts.Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day[ is] the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work[ therein]: it[ is] the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.These[ are] the feasts of the LORD,[ even] holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.In the fourteenth[ day] of the first month at even[ is] the LORD’S passover.And on the fifteenth day of the same month[ is] the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day[ is] an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work[ therein].And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.And the meat offering thereof[ shall be] two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD[ for] a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof[ shall be] of wine, the fourth[ part] of an hin.And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God:[ it shall be] a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven;[ they are] the firstfruits unto the LORD.And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be[ for] a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings,[ even] an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits[ for] a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day,[ that] it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work[ therein: it shall be] a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I[ am] the LORD your God.And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first[ day] of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.Ye shall do no servile work[ therein]: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Also on the tenth[ day] of this seventh month[ there shall be] a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it[ is] a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God.For whatsoever soul[ it be] that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.And whatsoever soul[ it be] that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.Ye shall do no manner of work:[ it shall be] a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.It[ shall be] unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth[ day] of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month[ shall be] the feast of tabernacles[ for] seven days unto the LORD.On the first day[ shall be] an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work[ therein].Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it[ is] a solemn assembly;[ and] ye shall do no servile work[ therein].These[ are] the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim[ to be] holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day[ shall be] a sabbath, and on the eighth day[ shall be] a sabbath.And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year.[ It shall be] a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I[ am] the LORD your God.And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.

If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,[ from] doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking[ thine own] words:Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken[ it].
