“人若娶妻以后，见她有什么不合理的事，不喜悦她，就可以写休书交在她手中，打发她离开夫家。妇人离开夫家以后，可以去嫁别人。后夫若恨恶她，写休书交在她手中，打发她离开夫家，或是娶她为妻的后夫死了，打发她去的前夫不可在妇人玷污之后再娶她为妻，因为这是耶和华所憎恶的；不可使耶和华你神所赐为业之地被玷污了。”

若有无可指责的人，只作一个妇人的丈夫，儿女也是信主的，没有人告他们是放荡不服约束的，就可以设立。

女执事也是如此：必须端庄，不说谗言，有节制，凡事忠心。执事只要作一个妇人的丈夫，好好管理儿女和自己的家。

作监督的，必须无可指责，只作一个妇人的丈夫，有节制，自守，端正，乐意接待远人，善于教导；

好好管理自己的家，使儿女凡事端庄顺服。人若不知道管理自己的家，焉能照管神的教会呢？
