They alone are to enter my sanctuary; they alone are to come near my table to minister before me and serve me as guards.

“ They are the only ones who can enter my temple. Only they can come near to serve me as guards.

祭壇是木做的，高一公尺半，長一公尺；壇角（有古譯本加“壇的座”）和壇的四邊，全都是木做的。他對我說：“這是擺在耶和華面前的桌子。”

你和你的兒子，要與你一同守你們祭司的職分，辦理一切屬祭壇和幔子內的事；你們要這樣供職。我把祭司的職分賜給你們作服事我的賞賜；外人若是近前來，必被處死。”耶和華對亞倫說：“我已經把保留歸我的舉祭，就是以色列人一切分別為聖的物，都賜給你和你的子孫，作為永遠應得的分。

“你們把污穢的食物獻在我的壇上，你們竟說：‘我們怎樣污穢了你的壇呢？’因你們以為耶和華的桌子是可以藐視的。”

萬軍之耶和華說：“你們卻褻瀆了我，因你們以為主的桌子是污穢的，桌上的食物也是可藐視的。

論到利未，他說：“耶和華啊，願你的土明和烏陵屬於對你忠心的人（原文無“耶和華啊”，但因為代名詞“你”是指耶和華而不是利未，所以按文理補上，以免誤導），就是你在瑪撒試驗過的，在米利巴水邊與他們爭論過的。利未人論到自己的父母說：‘我沒有看顧他們’；他不承認自己的兄弟，也不認識自己的兒女；因為他們謹守你的話，持守你的約。他們要把你的典章教訓雅各，把你的律法教訓以色列；他們要把香焚在你面前，把全牲的燔祭獻在你的祭壇上。

又使我們成為國度，作他父神的祭司。願榮耀權能都歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們。

你們要看守聖所和祭壇，免得震怒再臨到以色列人。
