“ Make an altar of acacia wood for burning incense.It is to be square, a cubit long and a cubit wide, and two cubits high— its horns of one piece with it.Overlay the top and all the sides and the horns with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it.

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons.

While the king was at his table, my perfume spread its fragrance.

He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight so incense will burn regularly before the Lord for the generations to come.

So he overlaid the whole interior with gold. He also overlaid with gold the altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary.

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
