“摸了任何人死尸的，必不洁净七天。那人要在第三天和第七天洁净自己，他就洁净了。若他不在第三天和第七天洁净自己，他就不洁净了。凡摸了死尸，就是死了的人的尸体，又不洁净自己的，就玷污了耶和华的帐幕，这人必从以色列中剪除；因为那除污秽的水没有洒在他身上，他就不洁净，污秽还在他身上。“若有人死在帐棚里，条例是这样：凡进那帐棚的，和所有在帐棚里的人，都必不洁净七天。凡敞开的，没有用绳子扎好盖子的器皿，也不洁净。任何人在田野里摸了被刀杀的，或自然死的，或人的骨头，或坟墓，就必不洁净七天。要为这不洁净的人拿一些烧好的除罪灰放在器皿里，倒上清水。一个洁净的人要拿牛膝草蘸在这水中，把水弹在帐棚上，和一切器皿以及帐棚内的人身上，又要弹在那摸了骨头，或摸了被杀的或自然死的，或摸了坟墓的人身上。那洁净的人要在第三天和第七天把水弹在不洁净的人身上，在第七天洁净那人。那人要洗衣服，用水洗澡，到晚上就洁净了。

以色列家的人要用七个月埋葬他们，好使那地洁净。
