故我耶和華必擊以東、俾人畜俱無噍類、使提慢荒蕪、底但人飲刃、

牧人所娛玩者已毀、群作哀歌、約但之叢林已伐、稚獅咆哮、其聲遙聞。

以色列族若亡羊、為獅所驅、初為亞述王吞噬、後為巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒折骨。

我民偽善、我必震怒、使亞述人擊之、攘奪其貨、蹂躪其身、若逵衢之糞壤。

爾遍四境、作惡孔多、故爾之貨財、必見攘奪、不復償爾、我使之然。

大失舟人、往來爾市、爾在海中、富有尊榮。

耶和華曰、巴比倫人、號呼若稚獅、彼中心如焚、飲酒酩酊、欲取淫樂、或至長眠、永不得醒、我使之然。
