Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish with all its rulers will ask you,“ Have you come to seize spoil? Have you mobilized your assembly to carry off plunder, to make off with silver and gold, to take cattle and possessions, to seize plenty of spoil?”’

底但人与你通商，沿海许多地方都作你贸易的市场；他们用象牙和乌木支付给你。

“他施人因你各样丰富的财物，就作你的贸易伙伴；他们用银、铁、锡和铅来换取你的货物。

狮子的洞穴在哪里？喂养幼狮的地方在哪里？公狮、母狮和幼狮不受惊吓之处，可以闲游的地方又在哪里呢？公狮为幼狮撕碎足够的食物，为母狮掐死活物；把猎物塞满了它的洞，把撕碎的填满了它的穴。万军之耶和华说：看哪！我必攻击你，我要把你的（按照《马索拉文本》，「你的」作「她的」;现参照其他古译本翻译）战车焚烧成烟，刀剑必吞灭你的幼狮；我必从地上除去你的猎物，你使者的声音也必不再有人听见。

我躺卧在狮子中间，就是在那些想吞灭人的世人中间；他们的牙齿是枪和箭，他们的舌头是快刀。

它养大其中一只小狮子，这幼狮成了一只少壮的狮子，学会了撕碎猎物，把人吃掉。列国听见了，就把它困在他们的坑中；他们用钩子把它带到埃及地去。母狮见自己所等候的落空了，所希望的幻灭了，就从它的小狮子中另取出一只，使它成为少壮的狮子。它在狮子群中行走；它已成了一只少壮的狮子，它学会了撕碎猎物，把人吃掉。

所以主耶和华这样说：我必伸手攻击以东，把人和牲畜都从其中剪除；我必使以东荒凉；从提幔直到底但，他们都要倒毙在刀下。

听牧人们哀号的声音，因为他们荣美的草场毁坏了；听少壮狮子吼叫的声音，因为约旦河边的丛林毁坏了。

以色列是被赶散的羊，它被狮子赶逐。先是亚述王把它吞灭，现在巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒要咬碎它的骨头。

我要差派他去攻击一个不敬虔的国，吩咐他去攻击我恼怒的子民，掳去掠物，抢夺掳物，把他们践踏，像街上的泥土一样。

因你在四境之内所犯的一切罪，我必把你的财产和宝物，白白给敌人作掠物。

他施的船只运载你的商品，你在海的中心，满载货物，极其沉重。

巴比伦人必像少壮狮子一起吼叫，又像幼狮咆哮。
