as numerous as the flocks for offerings at Jerusalem during her appointed festivals. So will the ruined cities be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

Large flocks of animals are sacrificed at Jerusalem during the appointed feasts there. In the same way, the destroyed cities will be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

Like the flock for sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem during her appointed feasts, so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

They will be as numerous as the sacred flocks that fill Jerusalem’s streets at the time of her festivals. The ruined cities will be crowded with people once more, and everyone will know that I am the Lord.”

So the ruined cities will be filled with a flock of people, just as Jerusalem is filled with a flock of sheep for sacrifice during its appointed festivals. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold,[ and] one shepherd.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth[ month], and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.Thus saith the LORD of hosts;[ It shall] yet[ come to pass], that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:And the inhabitants of one[ city] shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days[ it shall come to pass], that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard[ that] God[ is] with you.

Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.

Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:

Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.

Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.

And I heard the number of them which were sealed:[ and there were] sealed an hundred[ and] forty[ and] four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.Of the tribe of Juda[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad[ were] sealed twelve thousand.Of the tribe of Aser[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses[ were] sealed twelve thousand.Of the tribe of Simeon[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar[ were] sealed twelve thousand.Of the tribe of Zabulon[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph[ were] sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin[ were] sealed twelve thousand.After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture,[ are] men,[ and] I[ am] your God, saith the Lord GOD.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause[ you] to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities[ are become] fenced,[ and] are inhabited.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.And it shall come to pass,[ that] like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.

And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day,[ singing] with loud instruments unto the LORD.And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the LORD: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept[ other] seven days with gladness.For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel[ there was] not the like in Jerusalem.Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came[ up] to his holy dwelling place,[ even] unto heaven.

And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.

And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these[ were] of the king’s substance.And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred[ small cattle], and three hundred oxen.Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for passover offerings five thousand[ small cattle], and five hundred oxen.So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king’s commandment.And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled[ the blood] from their hands, and the Levites flayed[ them].And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto the LORD, as[ it is] written in the book of Moses. And so[ did they] with the oxen.And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the[ other] holy[ offerings] sod they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided[ them] speedily among all the people.And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaron[ were busied] in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.And the singers the sons of Asaph[ were] in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer; and the porters[ waited] at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.
