“ Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions. Their conduct was like a woman’s monthly uncleanness in my sight.

“ Son of man, the people of Israel used to live in their own land. But they made it‘ unclean’ because of how they acted and the way they lived. To me they were‘ unclean’ like a woman having her monthly period.

“ Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds. Their ways before me were like the uncleanness of a woman in her menstrual impurity.

“ Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by the evil way they lived. To me their conduct was as unclean as a woman’s menstrual cloth.

“ Son of man, while the house of Israel lived in their land, they defiled it with their conduct and actions. Their behavior before me was like menstrual impurity.

我領你們進入肥沃之地，使你們得吃其中的果子和美物；你們進入時，卻使我的地玷污，使我的產業成為可憎的。

耶和華說：「人若休妻，妻離他而去，做了別人的妻子，前夫豈能再回到她那裏呢？那地豈不是大大污穢了嗎？但你和許多情郎行淫，還是可以回到我這裏。這是耶和華說的。你舉目向光禿的高地觀看，何處沒有你的淫行呢？你坐在道路旁等候，好像阿拉伯人在曠野埋伏，你的淫行和邪惡使全地污穢了。

起來，走吧！這裏並非安歇之處；因為不潔淨帶來毀壞，且是大大的毀壞。

我要先加倍報應他們的罪孽和罪惡，因為他們以可憎之偶像的屍首使我的地玷污，使我的產業充斥可厭之物。」

我們都如不潔淨的人，所行的義都像污穢的衣服。我們如葉子漸漸枯乾，罪孽像風把我們吹走。

「在這一切的事上，你們都不可玷污自己，因為我在你們面前所逐出的列國，在這一切的事上玷污了自己。連地也玷污了，我懲罰那地的罪孽，地就吐出它的居民來。但你們要遵守我的律例典章。這一切可憎惡的事，無論是本地人或寄居在你們中間的外人，都不可以做。在你們之前居住那地的人做了這一切可憎惡的事，地就玷污了。不要讓地因你們玷污了它而把你們吐出來，像吐出在你們之前的國一樣。

他們把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔，流無辜人的血，就是自己兒女的血，用他們祭祀迦南的偶像，那地就被血玷污了。

這樣，你們就不會污穢所住之地，因為血能使地污穢；若有血流在地上，除非流那殺人者的血，否則那地就不得潔淨。你們不可玷污所住之地，就是我住在當中的地，因為我－耶和華住在以色列人中間。」

地被其上的居民所污穢，因為他們犯了律法，廢了律例，背了永約。

因以色列輕忽了她的淫亂，與石頭和木頭行姦淫，她和這地就都污穢了。

「女人月經期間，有血從體內流出，她必不潔淨七天；凡摸她的，必不潔淨到晚上。在不潔淨期間，女人所躺的東西都不潔淨，所坐的任何東西也不潔淨。凡摸她床的，要洗衣服，用水洗澡，必不潔淨到晚上；凡摸她坐過的東西的，要洗衣服，用水洗澡，必不潔淨到晚上；不論是床，或她坐過的東西，人摸了，必不潔淨到晚上。男人若和這女人同寢，沾了她的不潔淨，就不潔淨七天，所躺的床也都不潔淨。「女人若在經期之外仍然流血多日，或是經期過長，她在流血的一切日子都不潔淨，和她在經期的日子不潔淨一樣。在流血的日子，她所躺的床、所坐的任何東西都不潔淨，和在月經期間不潔淨一樣。凡摸這些東西的，就不潔淨；他要洗衣服，用水洗澡，必不潔淨到晚上。這女人的血漏若痊癒了，就要計算七天，然後才潔淨。第八天，她要取兩隻斑鳩或兩隻雛鴿，帶到會幕門口祭司那裏。祭司要獻一隻為贖罪祭，一隻為燔祭。祭司要因這女人血漏的不潔淨，在耶和華面前為她贖罪。「你們要使以色列人與他們的不潔淨隔離，免得他們玷污我在他們中間的帳幕，因自己的不潔淨死亡。」這條例是為漏症患者或遺精而不潔淨者，女人經期的不潔，男女患漏症，以及男人與不潔淨女人同寢而立的。
