“ Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions. Their conduct was like a woman’s monthly uncleanness in my sight.

“ Son of man, the people of Israel used to live in their own land. But they made it‘ unclean’ because of how they acted and the way they lived. To me they were‘ unclean’ like a woman having her monthly period.

“ Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds. Their ways before me were like the uncleanness of a woman in her menstrual impurity.

“ Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by the evil way they lived. To me their conduct was as unclean as a woman’s menstrual cloth.

我領你們進入肥美之地，使你們得吃其中的果子和美物；但你們進入的時候就玷污我的地，使我的產業成為可憎的。

有話說：人若休妻，妻離他而去，作了別人的妻，前夫豈能再收回她來？若收回她來，那地豈不是大大玷污了嗎？但你和許多親愛的行邪淫，還可以歸向我。這是耶和華說的。你向淨光的高處舉目觀看，你在何處沒有淫行呢？你坐在道旁等候，好像阿拉伯人在曠野埋伏一樣，並且你的淫行邪惡玷污了全地。

你們起來去吧！這不是你們安息之所；因為污穢使人毀滅，而且大大毀滅。

我先要加倍報應他們的罪孽和罪惡；因為他們用可憎之屍玷污我的地土，又用可厭之物充滿我的產業。」

我們都像不潔淨的人；所有的義都像污穢的衣服。我們都像葉子漸漸枯乾；我們的罪孽好像風把我們吹去。

「在這一切的事上，你們都不可玷污自己；因為我在你們面前所逐出的列邦，在這一切的事上玷污了自己；連地也玷污了，所以我追討那地的罪孽，那地也吐出它的居民。故此，你們要守我的律例典章。這一切可憎惡的事，無論是本地人，是寄居在你們中間的外人，都不可行，（在你們以先居住那地的人行了這一切可憎惡的事，地就玷污了，）免得你們玷污那地的時候，地就把你們吐出，像吐出在你們以先的國民一樣。

把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔，流無辜人的血，就是自己兒女的血，把他們祭祀迦南的偶像，那地就被血污穢了。

這樣，你們就不污穢所住之地，因為血是污穢地的；若有在地上流人血的，非流那殺人者的血，那地就不得潔淨。你們不可玷污所住之地，就是我住在其中之地，因為我－耶和華住在以色列人中間。」

地被其上的居民污穢；因為他們犯了律法，廢了律例，背了永約。

因以色列輕忽了她的淫亂，和石頭木頭行淫，地就被玷污了。

「女人行經，必污穢七天；凡摸她的，必不潔淨到晚上。女人在污穢之中，凡她所躺的物件都為不潔淨，所坐的物件也都不潔淨。凡摸她牀的，必不潔淨到晚上，並要洗衣服，用水洗澡。凡摸她所坐甚麼物件的，必不潔淨到晚上，並要洗衣服，用水洗澡。在女人的牀上，或在她坐的物上，若有別的物件，人一摸了，必不潔淨到晚上。男人若與那女人同房，染了她的污穢，就要七天不潔淨；所躺的牀也為不潔淨。「女人若在經期以外患多日的血漏，或是經期過長，有了漏症，她就因這漏症不潔淨，與她在經期不潔淨一樣。她在患漏症的日子所躺的牀、所坐的物都要看為不潔淨，與她月經的時候一樣。凡摸這些物件的，就為不潔淨，必不潔淨到晚上，並要洗衣服，用水洗澡。女人的漏症若好了，就要計算七天，然後才為潔淨。第八天，要取兩隻斑鳩或是兩隻雛鴿，帶到會幕門口給祭司。祭司要獻一隻為贖罪祭，一隻為燔祭；因那人血漏不潔，祭司要在耶和華面前為她贖罪。「你們要這樣使以色列人與他們的污穢隔絕，免得他們玷污我的帳幕，就因自己的污穢死亡。」這是患漏症和夢遺而不潔淨的，並有月經病的和患漏症的，無論男女，並人與不潔淨女人同房的條例。
