“ Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions. Their conduct was like a woman’s monthly uncleanness in my sight.

“ Son of man, the people of Israel used to live in their own land. But they made it‘ unclean’ because of how they acted and the way they lived. To me they were‘ unclean’ like a woman having her monthly period.

“ Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds. Their ways before me were like the uncleanness of a woman in her menstrual impurity.

“ Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by the evil way they lived. To me their conduct was as unclean as a woman’s menstrual cloth.

“ Son of man, while the house of Israel lived in their land, they defiled it with their conduct and actions. Their behavior before me was like menstrual impurity.

我領你們進入這肥美之地，得吃其中的果子和美物；可是你們一進來，就玷污了我的地；你們使我的產業成為可憎惡的。

耶和華說：“人若是休妻，妻子離開了他，又嫁了別人，前夫怎能與她復合呢？如果復合，那地不是大大玷污了嗎？你曾與許多情人行淫，還想歸向我。”這是耶和華的宣告。“你向光禿的高岡舉目看看，哪裡沒有你的淫跡？你坐在路邊等候情人，像阿拉伯人在曠野埋伏一樣。你以淫亂和邪惡，把這地玷污了。

起來，走吧！這不是你們安息之地；你們因為不潔淨的緣故，必被毀滅，是不可挽救的毀滅。

首先我要加倍報應他們的罪孽和罪惡，因為他們用自己那些毫無生氣、可憎的偶像（“毫無生氣，可憎的偶像”原文作“可憎的偶像的屍體”）玷污了我的土地，他們那些可厭之物充滿了我的產業。”

我們眾人都像不潔淨的人，我們所有的義，都像污穢的衣服；我們眾人都像葉子枯乾，我們的罪孽好像風一般把我們吹去。

“你們不可讓這些事的任何一件玷污自己，因為我將要從你們面前趕出去的各族，就是被這些事玷污了自己。連地也被玷污，所以我追討那地的罪孽，那地就把居民吐出去。所以，你們要謹守我的律例和典章；這一切可憎的事，無論是本地人或是在你們中間寄居的外人，一件都不可作（因為在你們以前住在那地的人，行了這一切可憎的事，就玷污了自己）；免得你們玷污那地，那地就把你們吐出去，像吐出了在你們以前的各民族一樣。

他們把自己的兒女祭祀鬼魔。他們流了無辜人的血，就是他們自己兒女的血，把他們祭祀迦南的偶像；那地就被血污穢了。

這樣，你們就沒有玷污你們所在之地，因為血能玷污地；在地上如果有流人血的，除非流那故意殺人者的血，那地的血就不能得贖。你們不可玷污你所住的地，就是我居住的地，因為我耶和華是居住在以色列人中間的。’”

大地被其上的居民玷污，因為他們犯了律法，違了律例，背了永遠的約。

因以色列把自己的淫行視作等閒，去與石頭木頭行淫，就把這地玷污了。

“如果女人身上排泄的是經血，她必污穢七天；摸她的，都不潔淨到晚上。在她污穢的時期，她躺過的東西，都不潔淨；她坐過的東西，也都不潔淨。觸摸她的床的，都要洗淨自己的衣服，用水洗澡，並且不潔淨到晚上。觸摸她坐過的任何家具，都要洗淨自己的衣服，用水洗澡，並且不潔淨到晚上。在女人的床上，或是在她坐過的家具上，如果有別的東西，人摸了它，就不潔淨到晚上。男人若是與那女人同睡，染上她的污穢，就不潔淨七天；他躺過的床都不潔淨。“女人若是在月經污穢期以外，血漏多日；或是月經污穢期過長，患有血漏症；她在這些血漏的日子是不潔淨的，好像她在月經污穢的日子不潔淨一樣。她在血漏症的日子躺過的床，都像她在月經污穢時的床一樣；她所坐過的家具，都不潔淨，像月經污穢的時候一樣。觸摸這些東西的，都不潔淨；要洗淨自己的衣服，用水洗澡，並且不潔淨到晚上。女人的血漏若是潔淨了，她要計算七天，然後就潔淨了。第八天，她要拿兩隻斑鳩或兩隻雛鴿，帶到會幕門口，交給祭司。祭司要獻一隻作贖罪祭，一隻作燔祭；祭司要在耶和華面前，因那婦人血漏的不潔，為她贖罪。“你們要這樣叫以色列人遠離他們的不潔，免得他們玷污我在他們中間的會幕，他們就因自己的不潔而死亡。”以上是關於因為異常排泄和遺精，成為不潔淨，以及患病污穢的婦女和患血漏的男女，還有男人與不潔淨的女人同睡的律例。
