我必使你永遠荒涼，使你的城鎮無人居住，你們就知道我是耶和華。

I will make you desolate forever; your towns will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

惡以掃，使他的山嶺荒涼，把他的地業交給曠野的野狗。」以東若說：「我們雖被毀壞，卻要重建荒廢之處。」萬軍之耶和華如此說：「任他們建造，我必拆毀；人必稱他們為『邪惡之境』，為『耶和華永遠惱怒之民』。」

我的眼必不顧惜你，也不可憐你，卻要按你所做的報應你，照你們中間可憎的事懲罰你；你就知道我是耶和華。

我指着自己起誓，波斯拉必令人驚駭、受羞辱、被詛咒，並且全然荒廢。它所有的城鎮都要永遠成為廢墟。這是耶和華說的。」

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神說：因此，我指着我的永生起誓：摩押必如所多瑪，亞捫人必像蛾摩拉，都變為刺草、鹽坑、永遠荒廢之地。我百姓中剩餘的必擄掠他們，我國中的倖存者必得他們的地。

以東必令人驚駭；凡經過的人都驚駭，又因它一切的災禍嗤笑。耶和華說：它要像所多瑪、蛾摩拉和鄰近的城鎮一樣傾覆，必無人住在那裏，也無人在其中寄居。

我要使人丁和牲畜在你們那裏加增，他們必生養眾多。我要使你們那裏像以前一樣有人居住，並要賜福，比先前更多；你們就知道我是耶和華。
