I will turn you into a perpetual desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

All who pass by it will be filled with horror; they will hiss out their scorn because of all the disasters that have happened to it.Edom will be destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah and the towns that were around them. No one will live there. No human being will settle in it,” says the LORD.

I will increase the number of people and animals on you; they will increase and be fruitful. I will cause you to be inhabited as in ancient times, and will do more good for you than at the beginning of your history. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
