I will make you desolate forever; your towns will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

I will make your land empty forever. No one will live in your towns. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

故我必伸手於以東、絕其人畜、使之荒涼、自提幔至於底但、其人俱隕於刃、

惡以掃、使其山荒蕪、以其業畀野犬、以東曰、我雖傾覆、必復建荒墟之處、萬軍之耶和華云、彼將建之、我必毀之、人將稱之為惡境、其人為耶和華恆怒之民、

我目不顧惜爾、不加矜憫、我必報爾所行、使爾可惡之事顯於爾中、則知我乃耶和華、○

以東必成怪異、凡過之者、必將驚駭、因其所遭之禍、而嗤笑之、耶和華曰、必如所多瑪蛾摩拉、及其鄰邑之傾覆、無人居處、世人不寓其中、

我必增人畜於爾上、俾其孳息繁庶、居民如昔、我待遇爾、較前尤厚、則知我乃耶和華、
