以色列地既成荒邱、爾西耳山以東四境、靡不悅懌、故我使爾荒蕪、俾知我乃耶和華。

Because you rejoiced when the inheritance of Israel became desolate, that is how I will treat you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, you and all of Edom. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”

You were happy when the land of Israel became empty. So I will treat you in the same way. Mount Seir, you will be empty. So will the whole land of Edom. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so I will deal with you; you shall be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

You rejoiced at the desolation of Israel’s territory. Now I will rejoice at yours! You will be wiped out, you people of Mount Seir and all who live in Edom! Then you will know that I am the Lord.

對它說，主耶和華如此說：西珥山，看哪，我與你為敵，必伸手攻擊你，使你荒涼荒廢。我必使你的城鎮變為廢墟，使你成為荒涼；你就知道我是耶和華。

你兄弟遭難的日子，你不該瞪着眼看；猶大人被滅的日子，你不該幸災樂禍；他們遭難的日子，你不該說狂傲的話。

耶和華的日子臨近萬國；你所做的，人也必向你照樣做，你的報應必歸到自己頭上。

耶路撒冷攻破的日子，以東人說：「拆毀！拆毀！直拆到根基！」耶和華啊，求你記得！

我必使你永遠荒涼，使你的城鎮無人居住，你們就知道我是耶和華。

搶奪我產業的啊，你們因歡喜快樂，像踹穀嬉戲的母牛犢，又像發嘶聲的壯馬。

主耶和華如此說，因仇敵說：『啊哈！這古老的丘壇都歸我們為業了！』所以你要預言，說：主耶和華如此說：因為敵人使你荒涼，四圍踐踏你，要叫你歸其餘的列國為業，使你們成為各族的話柄與百姓的笑談；因此，以色列羣山哪，要聽主耶和華的話。對那遭四圍其餘列國佔據、譏刺的大山小岡、水溝山谷、荒廢之地、被棄之城，主耶和華如此說；所以，主耶和華如此說：我因妒火中燒，就責備其餘的列國和以東的眾人。他們快樂滿懷，心存恨惡，將我的地佔為己有，視為被拋棄的掠物。

譏笑窮乏人的，是蔑視造他的主；幸災樂禍的，難免受罰。

我要降火在瑪各和海島安然居住的人身上，他們就知道我是耶和華。「我要在我的子民以色列中彰顯我的聖名，不容我的聖名再被褻瀆，列國就知道我－耶和華是以色列中的聖者。
