爾見以色列地荒蕪、因而歡樂、我必視爾所為以報爾、西珥山及以東全地必荒蕪、人則知我乃主、

爾因以色列族之業荒涼而喜、我必依爾所行而報爾、西珥山乎、爾及以東全地、必皆荒涼、則知我乃耶和華、

以色列地既成荒邱、爾西耳山以東四境、靡不悅懌、故我使爾荒蕪、俾知我乃耶和華。

Because you rejoiced when the inheritance of Israel became desolate, that is how I will treat you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, you and all of Edom. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”

You were happy when the land of Israel became empty. So I will treat you in the same way. Mount Seir, you will be empty. So will the whole land of Edom. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so I will deal with you; you shall be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

You rejoiced at the desolation of Israel’s territory. Now I will rejoice at yours! You will be wiped out, you people of Mount Seir and all who live in Edom! Then you will know that I am the Lord.

Just as you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it became a desolation, I will deal the same way with you: you will become a desolation, Mount Seir, and so will all Edom in its entirety. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’

主曰、我之刃浸潤在天、浸潤在天或作在天如醉我使臨於以東、臨於我所擬定滅亡之民、施行懲罰、主之刃飽以血、潤以脂、飽以羔羊山羊之血、潤以牡綿羊腰之脂、蓋主在波斯拉行殺戮、在以東大行誅殛、

惟爾以東民、民原文作女居於烏斯地者、今任爾喜樂、終亦飲苦盃、以至昏醉、露爾身體、

告之曰、主天主如是云、西珥山歟、我必攻爾、舉手罰爾、使爾荒蕪寂寞、荒蕪寂寞或作極其荒蕪下同必使爾城邑傾圮、使爾變為荒蕪、爾則知我乃主、

爾弟遇害之日、爾不當旁觀、猶大族喪敗之日、爾不當欣喜、彼遭難之日、爾不當口出傲慢之言、

主罰異邦、其日伊邇、循爾所行、人亦將行於爾、爾應得之報、必臨於爾身、身原文作首

耶路撒冷遭難之日、以東人云、毀之毀之、至於基址、求主記憶此言、

又有人甚眾、自耶路撒冷、以度買、約但外、推羅西頓之境、聞其所行、亦來就之、

我必使爾永為荒蕪、使爾城邑無人居處、爾曹則知我乃主、

惟爾迦勒底民、曾刼奪我業、欣喜歡樂、踴躍若踐穀之犢、鳴嘶若馬、

主天主如是云、敵人曰、噫、斯永久之山岡、皆歸我為業、故爾當預言曰、主天主如是云、爾四周之敵、使爾荒蕪、使爾荒蕪或作毀滅爾吞噬爾、致爾為未滅未滅原文作所餘下同之異邦人所得、又為人所談論、所譏刺、今以色列諸山歟、當聽主言、主天主告諸山岡、澗溪、澗溪或作窪地下同山谷、荒蕪之地、寂寞之邑、為四周未滅之異邦人、所強奪、所譏刺、主天主如是云、我熱中如焚、震怒甚烈、以譴責彼未滅之異邦人、及以東全族、因心懷怨恨、怨恨或作欺藐奪我之地、歸己為業、驅逐居民、刧掠務盡、中心歡樂不勝、

戲笑貧人者、即侮造之之主、幸人災禍者、不得免罪、

我必使瑪各及洲島洲島或作沿海安居之民、俱遭火焚、彼則知我乃主、我必在以色列人中、彰我之聖名、必使我之聖名、不復被褻瀆、異邦人則知我耶和華乃以色列之聖主、
