Because you rejoiced when the inheritance of Israel became desolate, that is how I will treat you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, you and all of Edom. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”

You were happy when the land of Israel became empty. So I will treat you in the same way. Mount Seir, you will be empty. So will the whole land of Edom. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so I will deal with you; you shall be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

You rejoiced at the desolation of Israel’s territory. Now I will rejoice at yours! You will be wiped out, you people of Mount Seir and all who live in Edom! Then you will know that I am the Lord.

蓋耶和華之日近臨萬邦、爾所為者、加諸爾身、爾所行者、歸於爾首、

耶和華歟、耶路撒冷遭難時、以東族曰、毀之毀之、至於基址、尚其念之兮、

猶太耶路撒冷以土買約但外、及推羅西頓四境之人、聞其所行、就之者亦甚眾、

我將使爾恆為荒墟、爾之城邑、無人居處、則知我乃耶和華、

刧我業者歟、緣爾欣喜懽忭、放恣若踐穀之犢、嘶鳴若健馬、

主耶和華曰、敵指爾云、嘻嘻、上古之高地、為我所有、故爾當預言曰、主耶和華云、敵人使爾荒涼、四周吞噬、俾為列國遺民之業、為喋喋者談論、被人毀謗、以色列山岡歟、宜聽主耶和華言、主耶和華告諸山岡澗谷、荒蕪之區、委棄之邑、為四周列國遺民所刦掠譏誚者、主耶和華云、列國遺民及以東全地、滿心喜樂、衷懷輕藐、據有我地、驅逐居民、刦掠殆盡、故我忌嫉、憤烈若火、而加譴責、

戲笑貧窮、乃侮造之之主、幸災樂禍、不免受刑、

我必降火於瑪各、及洲島安居者、俾知我乃耶和華、彰我聖名於我民以色列中、俾我聖名不復受侮、列邦則知我乃耶和華、以色列之聖者、
