你既因以色列的荒凉而幸灾乐祸，我要让你遭受同样的下场。西珥山啊，你和以东都要荒凉。这样，你们就知道我是耶和华。’

爾因以色列族之業荒涼而喜、我必依爾所行而報爾、西珥山乎、爾及以東全地、必皆荒涼、則知我乃耶和華、

以色列地既成荒邱、爾西耳山以東四境、靡不悅懌、故我使爾荒蕪、俾知我乃耶和華。

爾見以色列地荒蕪、因而歡樂、我必視爾所為以報爾、西珥山及以東全地必荒蕪、人則知我乃主、

Because you rejoiced when the inheritance of Israel became desolate, that is how I will treat you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, you and all of Edom. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”

You were happy when the land of Israel became empty. So I will treat you in the same way. Mount Seir, you will be empty. So will the whole land of Edom. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so I will deal with you; you shall be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

You rejoiced at the desolation of Israel’s territory. Now I will rejoice at yours! You will be wiped out, you people of Mount Seir and all who live in Edom! Then you will know that I am the Lord.

耶和华的刀剑在天上饱饮了血后，必降下来惩罚以东——祂决意要毁灭的民族。祂的刀沾满了血和脂肪，如同羊羔、公山羊的血和公绵羊肾脏上的脂肪。因为耶和华要在波斯拉献祭，在以东大行杀戮。

乌斯地区的以东人啊，只管欢喜作乐吧！因为盛满耶和华愤怒的杯也要传到你们那里。你们必喝醉，以致赤身露体。

告诉它，主耶和华这样说，‘西珥山啊，我要与你为敌，伸手攻击你，使你荒凉不堪。我要使你的城邑沦为废墟，一片荒凉，这样你就知道我是耶和华。

你的亲族遭难之日，你不该幸灾乐祸；犹大人被灭的日子，你不该兴高采烈；他们遭难的日子，你不该口出狂言；

“耶和华惩罚万国的日子近了。必按你的所作所为报应你，你的恶行必落到自己头上。

耶和华啊，求你记住耶路撒冷沦陷时以东人的行径。他们喊道：“拆毁这城，把它夷为平地！”

还有很多人听见耶稣所做的一切，就从犹太、耶路撒冷、以土买、约旦河东，甚至泰尔和西顿一带来找祂。

我要使你永远荒废，你的城邑杳无人迹，这样你就知道我是耶和华。

“抢夺我产业的巴比伦人啊，你们欢喜快乐，像草场上欢跳的母牛犊，又像嘶鸣的公马。

主耶和华这样说，仇敌说，哈哈，这古老的山峰归我们了！’所以你要发预言，宣告主耶和华这样说，‘你们被蹂躏、掠夺，归了列国所有，成了外族人的话柄和笑谈。因此，以色列的山岭、溪流、幽谷、荒地、废墟以及那些被外族人掳掠和讥讽的城邑啊，你们要听主耶和华的话。’主耶和华说，‘我要在怒火中斥责列国和以东，他们幸灾乐祸，满腹愤恨，把我的土地据为己有，侵占其中的草场。’

嘲笑穷人等于侮辱造物主，幸灾乐祸的人必难逃惩罚。

我要火烧安居在玛各和海岛的人，他们就知道我是耶和华。“‘我要让我的以色列子民知道我的圣名，不再让我的圣名被亵渎。这样列国就知道我是耶和华——以色列的圣者。
