You have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally.

You have not made the weak ones in the flock stronger. You have not healed the sick. You have not bandaged those who are hurt. You have not brought back those who have wandered away. You have not searched for the lost. When you ruled over them, you were mean to them. You treated them badly.

The weak you have not strengthened, the sick you have not healed, the injured you have not bound up, the strayed you have not brought back, the lost you have not sought, and with force and harshness you have ruled them.

You have not taken care of the weak. You have not tended the sick or bound up the injured. You have not gone looking for those who have wandered away and are lost. Instead, you have ruled them with harshness and cruelty.

You have not strengthened the weak, healed the sick, bandaged the injured, brought back the strays, or sought the lost. Instead, you have ruled them with violence and cruelty.

Those who are sickly you have not strengthened, the diseased you have not healed, the broken you have not bound up, the scattered you have not brought back, nor have you searched for the lost; but with force and with violence you have dominated them.

爾意如何、人有百羊、迷失其一、豈不姑舍九十九羊於山、而往求其迷失者乎、或作豈不姑舍九十九羊而往於山求其迷失者乎若得之、我誠告爾、其為此一羊喜、較不迷失之九十九羊喜尤大、

見眾則憫之、以其困苦流離、猶羊無牧者然、

惟就以色列家之亡羊、

有名書於其額、曰、隱秘、大邑巴比倫、或作有奧名書於其額曰巴比倫大邑世之諸淫婦及可憎者之母、我見婦飲聖徒之血、及為耶穌作證者之血、飲而醉矣、我見之不勝驚駭、

民之守望者、皆瞽目、皆無知、皆似瘖犬不能吠、皆作夢者、偃臥者、貪寢者、

爾中孰有百羊而亡其一、不姑舍九十九羊於野、而追其亡者至於得乎、得之則喜、負於肩、歸家、集其友與鄰謂之曰、爾與我同樂、以亡羊已得矣、

噫、富者乎、當哀哭號泣、因苦難將臨爾也、爾之財壞矣、爾之衣蠹矣、爾之金銀銹矣、此銹即攻爾之證、且將蝕爾之肉如火之焚、爾在此末日、但知積財、爾在此末日但知積財或作爾之積財乃為末日也穫爾田之傭、爾不給其值、其值髣髴有聲呼籲、刈穫者之怨聲、聞於撒罷阿特主耳矣、爾曹處世、奢侈宴樂、以快心志、乃如牲待屠宰之日也、或作爾在世奢侈宴樂如牲在屠宰之日尚快心志爾曹誣義者而殺之、彼不拒爾、○

園夫執其僕、撲一、殺一、石擊一、

在基列豈無良藥、良藥原文作乳香在彼豈無醫士、我民之傷、何不得愈乎、

遂撲其同僕、又與酒徒飲食、

行不義而建宮、行不公而造樓、徒用人力、不償工值者、斯人必禍、

牧天主之群羊在爾處者而監督之、非由勉強、乃由樂意、非為獲不義之利、乃由甘心、毋自以為主、轄制天主之民、民原文作業惟當作群羊之模範、

我言此、非欲轄爾之信、乃助爾之樂、蓋爾以信而立焉、

故手倦膝弱者、爾當健之、

既得權、在獸前行異跡、遂誘惑居於地之人、使之為見傷於刃而尚活之獸作像、並有權使獸像有生氣、使獸像能言、且能使不拜獸像者見殺、使眾人無論大小貧富、自主者、為奴者、皆在右手、或在額、受印誌焉、人若不受獸之印誌、或獸名數、皆不得貿易、
