far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given, not only in this age but also in the one to come.And he subjected everything under his feet and appointed him as head over everything for the church,

For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will accomplish this.

In those days and at that time I will cause a Righteous Branch to sprout up for David, and he will administer justice and righteousness in the land.In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell securely, and this is what she will be named: The LORD Is Our Righteousness.“ For this is what the LORD says: David will never fail to have a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel.

“ Instead, this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days”— the LORD’s declaration.“ I will put my teaching within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

I will put this third through the fire; I will refine them as silver is refined and test them as gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say,‘ They are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The LORD is our God.’”

They will be my people, and I will be their God.

“ I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”

From that day forward the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God.

Then they will know that I, the LORD their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.You are my flock, the human flock of my pasture, and I am your God. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.’”

But we do see Jesus— made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God’s grace he might taste death for everyone— crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death.For in bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God— for whom and through whom all things exist— should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

“ Look, the days are coming”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ when I will raise up a Righteous Branch for David. He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land.In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. This is the name he will be called: The LORD Is Our Righteousness.

I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.And they will know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, so that I might dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.

He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God.The armies that were in heaven followed him on white horses, wearing pure white linen.A sharp sword came from his mouth, so that he might strike the nations with it. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will also trample the winepress of the fierce anger of God, the Almighty.And he has a name written on his robe and on his thigh: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

“ At that time”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.”

Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will have no end.”

They will serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.

For he must reign until he puts all his enemies under his feet.

For this reason God highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name,so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow— in heaven and on earth and under the earth—and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your Savior. I have given Egypt as a ransom for you, Cush and Seba in your place.

They will not defile themselves anymore with their idols, their abhorrent things, and all their transgressions. I will save them from all their apostasies by which they sinned, and I will cleanse them. Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.

When Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua approached him and asked,“ Are you for us or for our enemies?”“ Neither,” he replied.“ I have now come as commander of the LORD’s army.” Then Joshua bowed with his face to the ground in homage and asked him,“ What does my lord want to say to his servant?”The commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua,“ Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did that.
