我要立我的僕人大衛做他們的牧人，他將牧養他們，做他們的牧人。

I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd.

I will place one shepherd over them. He will belong to the family line of my servant David. He will take good care of them. He will look after them. He will be their shepherd.

「我是好牧人，好牧人為羊捨命。

祂像牧人一樣牧養自己的羊群，用臂膀把羊羔聚在一起，抱在懷中，溫柔地引導母羊。

他們要事奉我——他們的上帝耶和華，聽從我為他們選立來繼承大衛寶座的王。

以法他的伯利恆啊，你在猶大各城中毫不起眼，但將有一位從你那裡出來，為我統治以色列；祂的根源自亙古，來自太初。耶和華要將以色列人交給他們的敵人，直到那臨盆的婦人生下兒子。那時，祂流亡的弟兄將重返他們的以色列同胞那裡。祂要挺身而起，倚靠耶和華的能力，奉祂上帝耶和華的威名牧養祂的群羊。他們將安然居住，因為那時祂必受尊崇，直達地極。祂必給他們帶來平安！亞述人侵略我們的國土、踐踏我們的宮殿時，我們將選立七位牧者和八位首領抗擊他們。

你們要到我這裡來，側耳聽我的話，就必得到生命。我要跟你們立永久的約，將應許給大衛的可靠恩福賜給你們。我使他統管萬民，向萬民做見證。

等到大牧長顯現的時候，你們必得到永不衰殘的榮耀冠冕。

願賜平安的上帝，就是那位憑著立永恆之約的血使群羊的大牧人——我主耶穌從死裡復活的上帝，

就像樹墩上長出新的枝條，大衛的後裔中必有一人做王。

從前你們好像是迷路的羊，現在卻歸向了你們靈魂的牧人和監護者。

之後，以色列人將回心轉意，尋求他們的上帝耶和華，歸向他們的君王大衛。在末後的日子，他們將懷著敬畏的心歸向耶和華，領受祂的恩惠。

我要派首領照顧他們，使他們不再擔驚受怕，也不再有一人迷失。這是耶和華說的。」耶和華說：「看啊，時候將到，我要為大衛選立一個公義的苗裔，使他執掌王權。他必秉公行義，治國有方。在他掌權的日子，猶大必得拯救，以色列必國泰民安。他將被稱為『耶和華是我們的公義』。」

我耶穌差遣我的天使到眾教會，向你們證明這些事。我是大衛的根，也是大衛的後裔，又是明亮的晨星。」

萬軍之耶和華說：「刀劍啊，醒來吧，要攻擊我的牧人和同伴，要擊打牧人，羊群將四散，我必出手攻擊小羊。

智者的言語好像趕牛的刺棍，他們收集的箴言像釘穩的釘子一樣牢靠，都是一位牧者所賜的。
