“ As for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. When you hear a word from my mouth, give them a warning from me.

『所以你，人子啊，我立了你做以色列家的守望者；你若從我口中聽到話語，總要替我警告他們。

人子、我使爾為戍卒、稽察以色列家、必聽我命、代我示民、

惟爾人子歟、我為以色列人立爾為守望者、爾由我口聽言、代我示之以警戒、

“ Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.

“ Son of man, I have appointed you as a prophet to warn the people of Israel. So listen to my message. Give them a warning from me.

“ So you, son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.

“ Now, son of man, I am making you a watchman for the people of Israel. Therefore, listen to what I say and warn them for me.

“ Now as for you, son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman for the house of Israel; so you will hear a message from My mouth and give them a warning from Me.

“ So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me.

So thou, son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

“ As for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. When you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me.

So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

“ As for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must warn them on my behalf.

“ So you, son of man: I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the word from my mouth, and give them warnings from me.

“ This is what the LORD says: Stand in the courtyard of the LORD’s temple and speak all the words I have commanded you to speak to all Judah’s cities that are coming to worship there. Do not hold back a word.

“ Son of man, I have made you a watchman over the house of Israel. When you hear a word from my mouth, give them a warning from me.If I say to the wicked person,‘ You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him— you don’t speak out to warn him about his wicked way in order to save his life— that wicked person will die for his iniquity. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood.But if you warn a wicked person and he does not turn from his wickedness or his wicked way, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have rescued yourself.Now if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and acts unjustly, and I put a stumbling block in front of him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die because of his sin, and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood.But if you warn the righteous person that he should not sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he listened to your warning, and you will have rescued yourself.”

“ Go and stand in the temple, and tell the people all about this life.”

Speak my words to them whether they listen or refuse to listen, for they are rebellious.“ And you, son of man, listen to what I tell you: Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth and eat what I am giving you.”

Obey your leaders and submit to them, since they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they can do this with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

“ Now, get ready. Stand up and tell them everything that I command you. Do not be intimidated by them or I will cause you to cower before them.

Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen on your walls; they will never be silent, day or night. There is no rest for you, who remind the LORD.

Additionally then, brothers and sisters, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have received instruction from us on how you should live and please God— as you are doing— do this even more.For you know what commands we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took bread,

The guards who go about the city found me. I asked them,“ Have you seen the one I love?”

The guards who go about the city found me. They beat and wounded me; they took my cloak from me— the guardians of the walls.

We proclaim him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.I labor for this, striving with his strength that works powerfully in me.

But the king said to him,“ How many times must I make you swear not to tell me anything but the truth in the name of the LORD?”So Micaiah said: I saw all Israel scattered on the hills like sheep without a shepherd. And the LORD said,“ They have no master; let everyone return home in peace.”So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ Didn’t I tell you he never prophesies good about me, but only disaster?”Then Micaiah said,“ Therefore, hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and the whole heavenly army was standing by him at his right hand and at his left hand.And the LORD said,‘ Who will entice Ahab to march up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ So one was saying this and another was saying that.“ Then a spirit came forward, stood in the LORD’s presence, and said,‘ I will entice him.’“ The LORD asked him,‘ How?’“ He said,‘ I will go and become a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’“ Then he said,‘ You will certainly entice him and prevail. Go and do that.’“ You see, the LORD has put a lying spirit into the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has pronounced disaster against you.”Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah came up, hit Micaiah on the cheek, and demanded,“ Did the Spirit of the LORD leave me to speak to you?”Micaiah replied,“ You will soon see when you go to hide in an inner chamber on that day.”Then the king of Israel ordered,“ Take Micaiah and return him to Amon, the governor of the city, and to Joash, the king’s son,and say,‘ This is what the king says: Put this guy in prison and feed him only a little bread and water until I come back safely.’”But Micaiah said,“ If you ever return safely, the LORD has not spoken through me.” Then he said,“ Listen, all you people!”

Therefore I declare to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all of you,because I did not avoid declaring to you the whole plan of God.

The best of them is like a brier; the most upright is worse than a hedge of thorns. The day of your watchmen, the day of your punishment, is coming; at this time their panic is here.

I have appointed you to be an assayer among my people— a refiner— so you may know and assay their way of life.

For there will be a day when watchmen will call out in the hill country of Ephraim,“ Come, let’s go up to Zion, to the LORD our God!”

The prophet who has only a dream should recount the dream, but the one who has my word should speak my word truthfully, for what is straw compared to grain?”— this is the LORD’s declaration.

For every dispute that comes to you from your brothers who dwell in their cities— whether it regards differences of bloodguilt, law, commandment, statutes, or judgments— you are to warn them, so they will not incur guilt before the LORD and wrath will not come on you and your brothers. Do this, and you will not incur guilt.

For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

You know that I did not avoid proclaiming to you anything that was profitable or from teaching you publicly and from house to house.

But Micaiah said,“ As the LORD lives, I will say whatever the LORD says to me.”

And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,
