因此，我们必须更加重视所听的道，以免随流漂去。既然借天使传下来的话正确无误，凡干犯、违背的人都受到了应有的报应，我们若忽略了这么大的救恩，怎能逃避惩罚呢？这救恩首先由主亲口宣讲出来，后来由听见的人向我们证实了。

因为祂是我们的上帝，我们是祂照管的子民，是祂牧放的羊群。你们今日若听见祂的声音，

你们要追想你们的祖先亚伯拉罕和生你们的撒拉。我呼召亚伯拉罕的时候，他是孤身一人，但我赐福给他，使他子孙众多。

以色列王派人到上帝的仆人所说的地方，警告那里的人要小心防备。这样的事情发生了好几次。
