In the twelfth year of our exile, in the tenth month on the fifth day, a man who had escaped from Jerusalem came to me and said,“ The city has fallen!”

It was the 12th year since we had been brought to Babylon as prisoners. On the fifth day of the tenth month, a man who had escaped from Jerusalem came to bring me a report. He said,“ The city has fallen!”

In the twelfth year of our exile, in the tenth month, on the fifth day of the month, a fugitive from Jerusalem came to me and said,“ The city has been struck down.”

On January 8, during the twelfth year of our captivity, a survivor from Jerusalem came to me and said,“ The city has fallen!”

In the twelfth year of our exile, in the tenth month, on the fifth day of the month, a fugitive from Jerusalem came to me and reported,“ The city has been taken!”

Now in the twelfth year of our exile, on the fifth of the tenth month, the survivor from Jerusalem came to me, saying,“ The city has been taken.”

And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, on the fifth day of the month, that one who had escaped from Jerusalem came to me and said,“ The city has been captured!”

And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.

跟从护卫长迦勒底的全军就拆毁耶路撒冷四围的城墙。

正是约雅斤王被掳去第五年四月初五日，

又因他流无辜人的血，充满了耶路撒冷；耶和华决不肯赦免。约雅敬其余的事，凡他所行的都写在犹大列王记上。约雅敬与他列祖同睡。他儿子约雅斤接续他作王。埃及王不再从他国中出来；因为巴比伦王将埃及王所管之地，从埃及小河直到幼发拉底河都夺去了。

所以，耶和华使迦勒底人的王来攻击他们，在他们圣殿里用刀杀了他们的壮丁，不怜恤他们的少男处女、老人白叟。耶和华将他们都交在迦勒底王手里。迦勒底王将神殿里的大小器皿与耶和华殿里的财宝，并王和众首领的财宝，都带到巴比伦去了。迦勒底人焚烧神的殿，拆毁耶路撒冷的城墙，用火烧了城里的宫殿，毁坏了城里宝贵的器皿。凡脱离刀剑的，迦勒底王都掳到巴比伦去，作他和他子孙的仆婢，直到波斯国兴起来。这就应验耶和华藉耶利米口所说的话：地享受安息；因为地土荒凉便守安息，直满了七十年。

那日逃脱的人岂不来到你这里，使你耳闻这事吗？你必向逃脱的人开口说话，不再哑口。你必这样为他们作预兆，他们就知道我是耶和华。”

我们被掳掠第二十五年，耶路撒冷城攻破后十四年，正在年初，月之初十日，耶和华的灵降在我身上，他把我带到以色列地。

犹大王西底家第九年十月，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒率领全军来围困耶路撒冷。西底家十一年四月初九日，城被攻破。耶路撒冷被攻取的时候，巴比伦王的首领尼甲沙利薛、三甲尼波、撒西金、拉撒力、尼甲沙利薛、拉墨，并巴比伦王其余的一切首领都来坐在中门。犹大王西底家和一切兵丁看见他们，就在夜间从靠近王园两城中间的门出城逃跑，往亚拉巴逃去。迦勒底的军队追赶他们，在耶利哥的平原追上西底家，将他拿住，带到哈马地的利比拉、巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒那里；尼布甲尼撒就审判他。巴比伦王在利比拉、西底家眼前杀了他的众子，又杀了犹大的一切贵胄，并且剜西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，要带到巴比伦去。迦勒底人用火焚烧王宫和百姓的房屋，又拆毁耶路撒冷的城墙。

城被攻破，一切兵丁就在夜间从靠近王园两城中间的门逃跑。迦勒底人正在四围攻城，王就向亚拉巴逃走。

西底家背叛巴比伦王。他作王第九年十月初十日，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒率领全军来攻击耶路撒冷，对城安营，四围筑垒攻城。于是城被围困直到西底家王十一年。四月初九日，城里有大饥荒，甚至百姓都没有粮食。城被攻破，一切兵丁就在夜间从靠近王园两城中间的门，出城逃跑；迦勒底人正在四围攻城。他们就往亚拉巴逃去。迦勒底的军队追赶西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全军都离开他四散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，带他到在哈马地利比拉的巴比伦王那里；巴比伦王便审判他。巴比伦王在西底家眼前杀了他的众子，又在利比拉杀了犹大的一切首领，并且剜了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去，将他囚在监里，直到他死的日子。巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒十九年五月初十日，在巴比伦王面前侍立的护卫长尼布撒拉旦进入耶路撒冷，用火焚烧耶和华的殿和王宫，又焚烧耶路撒冷的房屋，就是各大户家的房屋。跟从护卫长迦勒底的全军就拆毁耶路撒冷四围的城墙。
