if they give back what they took in pledge for a loan, return what they have stolen, follow the decrees that give life, and do no evil— that person will surely live; they will not die.

They return things they take to make sure loans are repaid. They give back what they have stolen. They obey my rules that give life. They do not do what is evil. Then you can be sure they will live. They will not die.

if the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has taken by robbery, and walks in the statutes of life, not doing injustice, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

For instance, they might give back a debtor’s security, return what they have stolen, and obey my life giving laws, no longer doing what is evil. If they do this, then they will surely live and not die.

撒该站着对主说：“主啊，我把所有的一半给穷人；我若勒索了谁，就还他四倍。”

“人若偷牛或羊，无论是宰了或卖了，他就要以五牛赔一牛，四羊赔一羊。贼挖洞，若被发现而被打死，打的人没有流血的罪。若太阳已经出来，打的人就有流血的罪。贼总要赔偿，若他一无所有，就要被卖来还他所偷的东西。若发现他所偷的，无论是牛、驴，或羊，在他手中还活着，他就要加倍赔偿。

“若有人犯罪，得罪了耶和华，就是在邻舍寄托他的东西或抵押品上行诡诈，或抢夺，或欺压邻舍，或是捡了失物行了诡诈，起了假誓，在人所做的任何事上犯了罪；他既犯了罪，有了过犯，就要归还他所抢夺的，或是因欺压所得的，或是别人寄托他的，或是他所捡到的失物，或是起假誓得来的任何东西，就要全数归还，另外再加五分之一。在查出他有罪的日子，就要立刻赔还给原主。

未曾亏负人，而是将欠债之人的抵押品还给他；未曾抢夺人的物件，却把食物给饥饿的人吃，把衣服给赤身的人穿；

你们要谨守我的律例典章；遵行的人就必因此得生。我是耶和华。

他们两人在神面前都是义人，遵行主的一切诫命和条例，没有可指责的。

以色列家却在旷野中悖逆我，不顺从我的律例，厌弃我的典章；人若遵行就必因此存活。他们却大大干犯我的安息日。“因此我说，我要在旷野把我的愤怒倾倒在他们身上，灭绝他们。

“不可对寄居的和孤儿屈枉正直，也不可拿寡妇的衣服作抵押。

“你借给邻舍，无论是什么，不可进他家拿抵押品。要站在外面，等那借贷的人把抵押品拿出来交给你。他若是困苦的人，你不可用他的抵押品盖着睡觉。日落的时候，总要把抵押品还给他，让他用那件外衣盖着睡觉，他就为你祝福。这在耶和华—你的神面前就是你的义行了。

他们拉走孤儿的驴，强取寡妇的牛作抵押。

你果真拿了邻舍的外衣作抵押，也要在日落前还给他；因为他只有这一件用来作被子，是他蔽体的衣服。他还可以拿什么睡觉呢？当他哀求我，我就应允，因为我是有恩惠的。

又有人从母怀中抢走孤儿，在困苦人身上强取抵押品。

因你无故强取弟兄的抵押，剥去赤身者的衣服。

只是他们的儿女悖逆我，不顺从我的律例，也不谨守遵行我的典章；人若遵行就必因此存活。他们却干犯我的安息日。“因此我说，我要在旷野把我的愤怒倾倒在他们身上，向他们发尽我的怒气。

“看哪，我必快来！赏罚在我，要照每个人所行的报应他。我是阿拉法，我是俄梅戛；我是首先的，我是末后的；我是开始，我是终结。”那些洗净自己衣服的有福了！他们可得权柄到生命树那里，也能从门进城。

我永不忘记你的训词，因你用这训词将我救活。

“你要吩咐以色列人：无论男女，若犯了人所常犯的任何罪，以致干犯耶和华，那人就有了罪。他要承认所犯的罪，将所亏负人的如数赔偿，另外再加五分之一，交给所亏负的人。那人若没有至亲可接受所赔偿的，所赔偿的就要归耶和华，交给祭司；另外还要献一只赎罪的公羊为他赎罪。

恶人若回转离开所行的恶，行公平公义的事，他必救自己的命；因为他省察，回转离开所犯的一切罪过，他必要存活，不致死亡。

他们在各祭坛旁边，躺卧在人所典当的衣服上，又在他们神的殿里喝受罚之人的酒。

亏负困苦和贫穷的人，抢夺别人的物件，不归还抵押品，却向偶像举目，做可憎的事；

也未曾亏负人，未曾取人的抵押品，未曾抢夺人的物件，却把食物给饥饿的人吃，把衣服给赤身的人穿，

“不可拿人的石磨或上面的磨石作抵押，因为这是拿人的命作抵押。
