if they give back what they took in pledge for a loan, return what they have stolen, follow the decrees that give life, and do no evil— that person will surely live; they will not die.

They return things they take to make sure loans are repaid. They give back what they have stolen. They obey my rules that give life. They do not do what is evil. Then you can be sure they will live. They will not die.

if the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has taken by robbery, and walks in the statutes of life, not doing injustice, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

For instance, they might give back a debtor’s security, return what they have stolen, and obey my life giving laws, no longer doing what is evil. If they do this, then they will surely live and not die.

將我的律例賜給他們，將我的典章指示他們；人若遵行就必因此活着。

撒該站着對主說：「主啊，我把所有的一半給窮人；我若訛詐了誰，就還他四倍。」

「人若偷牛或羊，無論是宰了，是賣了，他就要以五牛賠一牛，四羊賠一羊。人若遇見賊挖窟窿，把賊打了，以至於死，就不能為他有流血的罪。若太陽已經出來，就為他有流血的罪。賊若被拿，總要賠還。若他一無所有，就要被賣，頂他所偷的物。若他所偷的，或牛，或驢，或羊，仍在他手下存活，他就要加倍賠還。

「若有人犯罪，干犯耶和華，在鄰舍交付他的物上，或是在交易上行了詭詐，或是搶奪人的財物，或是欺壓鄰舍，或是在撿了遺失的物上行了詭詐，說謊起誓，在這一切的事上犯了甚麼罪；他既犯了罪，有了過犯，就要歸還他所搶奪的，或是因欺壓所得的，或是人交付他的，或是人遺失他所撿的物，或是他因甚麼物起了假誓，就要如數歸還，另外加上五分之一，在查出他有罪的日子要交還本主。

未曾虧負人，乃將欠債之人的當頭還給他；未曾搶奪人的物件，卻將食物給飢餓的人吃，將衣服給赤身的人穿；

所以，你們要守我的律例典章；人若遵行，就必因此活着。我是耶和華。

他們二人在神面前都是義人，遵行主的一切誡命禮儀，沒有可指摘的，

以色列家卻在曠野悖逆我，不順從我的律例，厭棄我的典章（人若遵行就必因此活着），大大干犯我的安息日。「我就說，要在曠野將我的忿怒傾在他們身上，滅絕他們。

「你不可向寄居的和孤兒屈枉正直，也不可拿寡婦的衣裳作當頭。

「你借給鄰舍，不拘是甚麼，不可進他家拿他的當頭。要站在外面，等那向你借貸的人把當頭拿出來交給你。他若是窮人，你不可留他的當頭過夜。日落的時候，總要把當頭還他，使他用那件衣服蓋着睡覺，他就為你祝福；這在耶和華－你神面前就是你的義了。

他們拉去孤兒的驢，強取寡婦的牛為當頭。

你即或拿鄰舍的衣服作當頭，必在日落以先歸還他；因他只有這一件當蓋頭，是他蓋身的衣服，若是沒有，他拿甚麼睡覺呢？他哀求我，我就應允，因為我是有恩惠的。

又有人從母懷中搶奪孤兒，強取窮人的衣服為當頭，

因你無故強取弟兄的物為當頭，剝去貧寒人的衣服。

只是他們的兒女悖逆我，不順從我的律例，也不謹守遵行我的典章（人若遵行就必因此活着），干犯我的安息日。「我就說，要將我的忿怒傾在他們身上，在曠野向他們成就我怒中所定的。

「看哪，我必快來！賞罰在我，要照各人所行的報應他。我是阿拉法，我是俄梅戛；我是首先的，我是末後的；我是初，我是終。」那些洗淨自己衣服的有福了！可得權柄能到生命樹那裏，也能從門進城。

我永不忘記你的訓詞，因你用這訓詞將我救活了。

「你曉諭以色列人說：無論男女，若犯了人所常犯的罪，以致干犯耶和華，那人就有了罪。他要承認所犯的罪，將所虧負人的，如數賠還，另外加上五分之一，也歸與所虧負的人。那人若沒有親屬可受所賠還的，那所賠還的就要歸與服事耶和華的祭司；至於那為他贖罪的公羊是在外。

再者，惡人若回頭離開所行的惡，行正直與合理的事，他必將性命救活了。因為他思量，回頭離開所犯的一切罪過，必定存活，不致死亡。

他們在各壇旁鋪人所當的衣服，臥在其上，又在他們神的廟中喝受罰之人的酒。

虧負困苦和窮乏的人，搶奪人的物，未曾將當頭還給人，仰望偶像，並行可憎的事，

未曾虧負人，未曾取人的當頭，未曾搶奪人的物件，卻將食物給飢餓的人吃，將衣服給赤身的人穿，

「不可拿人的全盤磨石或是上磨石作當頭，因為這是拿人的命作當頭。
