“ Elam is there, with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword. All who had spread terror in the land of the living went down uncircumcised to the earth below. They bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.

“ Elam lies there surrounded by the graves of all its hordes, those who were slaughtered by the sword. They struck terror in the hearts of people everywhere, but now they have descended as outcasts to the world below. Now they lie in the pit and share the shame of those who have gone before them.

“ Elam is there with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword— those who went down to the underworld uncircumcised, who once spread their terror in the land of the living. They bear their disgrace with those who descend to the Pit.

爾遭患難、爾姊妹見之、怨心悉平、則爾必自慙其素行。

在彼有北方之王、及西頓居民、素有巨能、今懷懼抱愧、下於窀穸、與不潔之人、亡於刃者同科。

爾責姊妹、適以取辱、蓋爾所為、較彼尤甚、彼之過較爾為輕、故爾當蒙羞抱愧。

西底家始為王於猶大、耶和華以以攔事、告先知耶利米、曰、萬有之主耶和華曰、以攔善射過人、我將折之、我必使四周之風擊以攔人、散於四方、無國不至。耶和華又曰、我既震怒、必降災於以攔、使之懼敵、亡於鋒刃、翦滅殆盡。耶和華又曰、我必威加以攔滅其王公。末期既屆、我必返以攔人俘囚、我耶和華已言之矣。

人子、當言未來事、曰、埃及眾庶、與諸名邦、必遭敗北、下窀穸、入陰府、爾當為之作哀歌曰、

我使爾居民、俱落深淵、歸於幽邈、陷於地下、無異久葬之人、斯後我使福邦復興、爾邑無人居處、

埃及眾庶、素令人悚惶無地、今也、抱愧蒙羞、俱亡於刃、下窀穸、入陰府、偃仆於以蘭之側、與不潔者無異。

惟爾先知、當指以色列山岡溪谷、以我言告之、曰、爾為異邦人所辱、我怒憤烈、指己而誓、四國之人、必遭凌辱。

示拿王暗喇非、以拉撒王亞畧、以攔王基大老馬、列邦王提達、

不詣我前、供祭司之職、不在至聖之所、近我聖物、必因所作不端、含羞抱愧、

昔彼犯罪於我、我使蒙羞、後導之自異邦敵國而至、賜彼安居斯土、不復震驚、尊崇乎我、為列邦目睹、

我必使有名者興、長若枝柯、使斯土之民、不復饑饉、不為異邦人凌辱。

心哩諸王、以攔諸王、米太諸王、

使天下林木、植於水旁、勿誇其株高幹偉、枝葉蓁蓁、喬木森然、終必枯萎、偃於下土、與人之歸墓無異、

耶和華怒爾、若手執爵以飲爾、使爾過酣、露爾下體、至於哇吐、變榮為辱、

主將舉手、再拯其遺民、使自亞述、埃及、八羅、古實、以攔、示拿、哈末、及海之洲島而歸、

其價不可勝量、雖歷天下而無所得。

恍惚間若在以攔國書山殿、烏來河濱、

強悍之輩、不潔之民、亡於鋒刃、俱下陰府、見埃及王及助之者、亦至於斯、必與之言、

自昔以來、我之列祖、竭勞而得、牛羊子女、悉為可惡者、吞噬無遺。自古迄今、我之列祖、爰及我躬、獲罪於我之上帝耶和華、不遵其命、故蒙羞恥、一蹶不振。

閃子以攔、亞述、亞法撒、路得、亞蘭、烏士、戶勒、其帖、米設、

異邦之人、不復譏刺、斯土不復見辱、人蹤不復罕至、我耶和華已言之矣。
