The cedars in the garden of God could not rival it, nor could the junipers equal its boughs, nor could the plane trees compare with its branches— no tree in the garden of God could match its beauty.

The cedar trees in my garden were no match for it. The juniper trees could not equal its limbs. The plane trees could not compare with its branches. No tree in my garden could match its beauty.

The cedars in the garden of God could not rival it, nor the fir trees equal its boughs; neither were the plane trees like its branches; no tree in the garden of God was its equal in beauty.

樹蔭遮徧山岡、枝幹如高大之柏香木、

如此、主亦矜憫矜憫或作慰藉郇邑、及其諸傾圮之所、使其荒蕪之地、變如伊甸、使其沙漠之處、變如主之園囿、在彼有歡欣喜樂、感謝及謳歌之聲、

羅得舉目遍觀約但平原、以至於瑣珥、土皆潤澤、在主未滅所多瑪俄摩拉之先、其地如主之園、亦如伊及之地然、

耶和華天主在東方之伊甸植一園、以所造之人、置於其間、耶和華天主使地生諸樹、可觀可食、當園之中、有生命之樹、亦有區別善惡之樹、

我使之下示阿勒、與下墓者無異、列國之民、聞其墮落之聲、無不驚動、伊甸一切樹木、及利巴嫩最佳之木、即得水灌溉之群樹、已在幽冥之所、幽冥之所原文作地之深處下同見其遭此、則心覺慰藉、

爾榮華威勢俱備者、可在伊甸園諸樹中比誰乎、必下幽冥之所、與伊甸園諸樹無異、必臥在亡於刃者不潔不潔原文作未受割禮下同之人中、即法老與其群眾所遇如此、此乃主天主所言、

拉伯沙基謂之曰、爾曹告希西家曰、亞述大王如是云、爾何所恃耶、我曰、爾自言有計謀、有勇力、足以交戰、此言俱虛、爾今恃誰而敢悖逆我耶、爾恃伊及國乎、豈知彼猶已折之葦、人若倚其上、必刺入其手、凡恃伊及王法老者亦若是、爾或告我曰、我儕恃主我之天主、乃希西家曾廢其邱壇與祭臺、命猶大人及耶路撒冷居民曰、但當在一一原文作此祭臺前崇拜、今爾與我主亞述王和好、則我予爾馬二千匹、爾能有馬卒乘之乎、既不能、何能禦我主王之僕中至微之武士長乎、爾恃伊及、望得戰車馬卒乎、亦徒然也、今我來攻此國以滅之、非無主之旨、主命我來攻此國以滅之、以利雅敬、舍伯拿、約亞、告拉伯沙基曰、求爾用亞蘭言與僕語、蓋我儕識之、勿用猶大言與我儕語、恐城上之民聞之、拉伯沙基曰、我主王遣我、豈使我以此言僅告爾主王與爾乎、非使我告坐於城上之民、將偕爾食己糞飲己溺者乎、拉伯沙基遂立、用猶大言、大聲呼曰、爾曹須聽亞述大王之言、王如是云、勿為希西家所誘、彼不能救爾曹、勿聽希西家使爾恃主之言、彼曰、主必救我儕、此城不致陷於亞述王手、勿聽希西家之言、蓋亞述王如是云、爾當與我修好、出而降我、則爾可各食己葡萄樹及無花果樹之果、各飲己井之水、迨我來遷爾至一地、與爾之地無異、即有穀、有酒、有糧、糧原文作餅有葡萄園之地、希西家誘爾曰、主必救我儕、爾勿聽之、列國之諸神、何嘗有神救其國、脫於亞述王之手、

我曾見強暴之惡人興旺、如根深葉茂之大樹、

惟亞述王不如是思維、心中不如是意念、乃欲毀滅諸國、欲殄絕淨盡、彼曰、我之諸將帥、不皆為王乎、我滅迦勒挪非若迦珥基密乎、哈末非若亞珥拔乎、撒瑪利亞非若大瑪色乎、崇事虛神之各國、其偶像較耶路撒冷與撒瑪利亞之偶像尤多、悉為我所滅、所滅或作所得我如何待撒瑪利亞與其偶像、豈不能循此以待耶路撒冷與其偶像乎、主曰、迨我在郇山、在耶路撒冷畢我之事、則必懲罰亞述王心之驕傲、及其目之仰視、彼曰、我移列國之界、擄掠其財、誠如有能者、誠如有能者或作我英勇超群使坐國位者卑降、我行此事、惟倚己臂之力、恃己之智慧、因我明哲、我手獲列國之貨財、如人取巢、我得全地、如人拾遺棄之卵、無一鼓翼者、啟口哀鳴者、

亞述列王、如何待列國、如何翦滅列國、爾亦必聞之、獨爾能得免乎、我祖所毀滅之列國、歌散、哈蘭、利薛、及居提拉撒之伊甸族、彼諸國之神、何嘗救其國耶、哈末之王安在、亞珥拔之王安在、西法瓦音邑之王安在、希拿與以瓦之王安在、此節所言之王即神也
