“‘ To whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? Yet you will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the lower parts of the earth. 爾之榮耀威嚴、伊甸諸木、孰可比擬、然必偕同伊甸諸木、下墜地之深處、爾必偃於未受割、而戮於刃者之中、法老及其民眾若此、主耶和華言之矣、

埃及王譬諸柏香木、森然高大、欣然向榮、堪與埃田木頡頏、必遭斬伐、下幽冥之所、與眾木無異、王必亡於刃、與不潔者同科、王即法老、王及眾庶、受災如此、我耶和華已言之矣。

“‘ Which of the trees of Eden can be compared with you in splendor and majesty? Yet you, too, will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the earth below; you will lie among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword.“‘ This is Pharaoh and all his hordes, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

“ Which one of the trees of Eden can be compared with you? What tree is as glorious and majestic as you are? But you too will be brought down to the earth below. There you will join the trees of Eden. You will lie down with those who have not been circumcised. You will be among those who were killed by swords.“ That is what will happen to Pharaoh and his huge armies,” announces the Lord and King.

“ Whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? You shall be brought down with the trees of Eden to the world below. You shall lie among the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword.“ This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, declares the Lord God.”

“ O Egypt, to which of the trees of Eden will you compare your strength and glory? You, too, will be brought down to the depths with all these other nations. You will lie there among the outcasts who have died by the sword. This will be the fate of Pharaoh and all his hordes. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

“ To which among the trees of Eden are you so alike in glory and greatness? This is Pharaoh and all his hordes!” ’ declares the Lord God.”

‘ To which of the trees in Eden will you then be likened in glory and greatness? When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom, and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside.

David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying,“ What shall be done to the man who kills this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

They will lie with the uncircumcised, and with those who go down to the pit.“ There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who have gone down with the slain. They are put to shame in the terror which they caused by their might. They lie uncircumcised with those who are slain by the sword, and bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.“ Pharaoh will see them, and will be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army, slain by the sword,” says the Lord Yahweh.“ For I have put his terror in the land of the living. He will be laid among the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude,” says the Lord Yahweh.

In the time of his distress, he trespassed yet more against Yahweh, this same king Ahaz.

Yes, I will make many peoples amazed at you, and their kings will be horribly afraid for you, when I brandish my sword before them. They will tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of your fall.”
