使水旁之諸樹、不復高大、不復枝葉茂盛、巔頂崇高、不復因崇高、使彼得灌溉之群樹、立於四周、因俱必枯而死、偃於地之深處、與人之下墓無異、

好使水旁的诸树不因高大而自尊，也不将树尖插入云中，并且那些得水滋润、有势力的，也不得高大自立。因为它们在世人中，和下坑的人都被交与死亡，到阴府去了。”

为了要使水边的树木枝干不再长高，树顶也不再高耸入云；那些得水滋润的，不再屹立于其中。因为它们和下到地府的人一起，都被交与死亡，到了地底下。”

都為的是要使水旁的眾樹、樹身都不高聳，不將其樹梢挺立入於雲霄間，只要使凡所有得水滋潤的樹都不屹立於高聳中；因為他們都被交於死亡，交於地府之最低處、在人類中間、到那些下冥坑的人那裏。

使水濱諸木、不誇其崇高、其杪不入雲中、得灌溉之強者、不復聳立、俱必死亡、偃於下土、至歸墓之人中、○

使天下林木、植於水旁、勿誇其株高幹偉、枝葉蓁蓁、喬木森然、終必枯萎、偃於下土、與人之歸墓無異、

Therefore no other trees by the waters are ever to tower proudly on high, lifting their tops above the thick foliage. No other trees so well- watered are ever to reach such a height; they are all destined for death, for the earth below, among mortals who go down to the realm of the dead.

So trees that receive plenty of water must never grow so high that it makes them proud. Their tops must never be above the rest of the leaves. No other trees that receive a lot of water must ever grow that high. They are appointed to die and go down into the earth below. They will join human beings, who go down to the place of the dead.”

All this is in order that no trees by the waters may grow to towering height or set their tops among the clouds, and that no trees that drink water may reach up to them in height. For they are all given over to death, to the world below, among the children of man, with those who go down to the pit.

Let the tree of no other nation proudly exult in its own prosperity, though it be higher than the clouds and it be watered from the depths. For all are doomed to die, to go down to the depths of the earth. They will land in the pit along with everyone else on earth.

This happened so that no trees planted beside water would become great in height and set their tops among the clouds, and so that no other well-watered trees would reach them in height. For they have all been consigned to death, to the underworld, among the people who descend to the Pit.

so that all the trees by the waters will not be exalted in their stature, nor put their tops among the clouds, nor will any of their well watered mighty ones stand straight in their height. For they have all been turned over to death, to the earth beneath, among mankind, with those who go down to the pit.”

究竟爾曹亦與世人一同死亡、與他牧伯一同歸土、

按定命、人一次而死、死後有審判、

昔列祖亦如斯行、我天主以此諸災、降於我儕及此城、今爾犯安息日、使以色列人干主怒尤甚、

彼等遇此諸事、皆可以為鑒、且書之於經、以警我儕末世之人、

又擬定傾覆所多瑪及俄摩拉二邑、焚為灰燼、以警後世之惡者、

則其邑之眾民、以石擊之死、如是、除惡於爾中、使以色列眾聞之而懼、○

人子、當為伊及與其眾庶哀嘆、預言伊及、必與強盛之他邦、同下示阿勒、與下於墓者偕、爾美於誰耶、可下、與不潔之人同臥、在亡於刃者中偃仆、刃已付於伊及之敵、刃已付於伊及之敵或作伊及已付於刃可將伊及與伊及眾庶、曳至死地、最強之勇士、已在示阿勒者、見彼與助之者亦下於斯、必謂之曰、不潔之人、亦亡於刃、亦墮落偃臥、在彼有亞述、其群眾在其四周、俱見殺戮、殞亡於刃、以坑之至深之處為墓、其群眾在其墓之四周、俱見殺戮、殞亡於刃、彼在生命地之時、在生命地之時或作在陽世之時下同曾使人恐懼、在彼有以蘭、其眾庶在其四周、俱見殺戮、殞亡於刃、俱為不潔者、下於幽冥之所、彼在生命地之時、曾使人恐懼、今則下入於坑、受辱蒙羞、彼偃臥於見殺者中、其眾庶在其墓之四周、俱為不潔者、俱亡於刃、在生命地之時、曾使人恐懼、今則受辱蒙羞、下於坑中、俱偃臥於見殺者中、在彼有米設、土巴、在眾庶在其墓之四周、俱為不潔者、俱亡於刃、在生命地之時、曾使人恐懼、彼與不潔者、及已偃仆之強暴人同臥、非所宜乎、俱攜兵器下示阿勒、首枕刀劍、罪歸其身、蓋在生命地之時、逞強使人恐懼、惟爾亦必敗亡、與不潔之人無異、亦必偃臥在亡於刃者之中、在彼有以東君王、與其諸侯伯、彼雖甚強、亦在亡於刃者之中、與不潔者、及下坑者同臥、在彼有北方諸王、及西頓之眾、素甚強暴、使人恐懼、今則抱愧、下至見殺者之所、皆為不潔者、與亡於刃者偕臥、受辱蒙羞、與其他下坑者同、法老及其軍旅、俱亡於刃、見彼眾遭此、則自慰藉、則自慰藉或作則其怨心平息此乃主天主所言、昔我容法老在生命地、使人恐懼、或作法老在生命地之時曾使人恐懼今彼與其眾庶、悉臥於不潔者之中、與亡於刃者偕、此乃主天主所言、

以色列眾聞之必畏懼、不復行若是之惡事於爾中、○

眾必逐爾不與人偕居、使與野獸同居、食草若牛、如此歷七期、使爾知至上者、主掌人間之國、隨意以國賜人、

欲害我命者、必陷於禍患、必墮於地之深處、必為刀劍所殺、必為狐狸所食、

伯沙撒歟、爾乃其子、子或作孫雖知此事、猶不自卑、竟向天上之主自高、使人將其殿之器皿、取至爾前、爾與爾大臣及妃嬪、以之飲酒、讚美金銀銅鐵木石所造諸神、彼不見不聞不知、惟掌爾生氣生氣或作呼吸及爾命運爾命運原文作爾諸道塗之天主、爾反不頌揚之、

爾榮華威勢俱備者、可在伊甸園諸樹中比誰乎、必下幽冥之所、與伊甸園諸樹無異、必臥在亡於刃者不潔不潔原文作未受割禮下同之人中、即法老與其群眾所遇如此、此乃主天主所言、
