都為的是要使水旁的眾樹、樹身都不高聳，不將其樹梢挺立入於雲霄間，只要使凡所有得水滋潤的樹都不屹立於高聳中；因為他們都被交於死亡，交於地府之最低處、在人類中間、到那些下冥坑的人那裏。

使水濱諸木、不誇其崇高、其杪不入雲中、得灌溉之強者、不復聳立、俱必死亡、偃於下土、至歸墓之人中、○

使天下林木、植於水旁、勿誇其株高幹偉、枝葉蓁蓁、喬木森然、終必枯萎、偃於下土、與人之歸墓無異、

使水旁之諸樹、不復高大、不復枝葉茂盛、巔頂崇高、不復因崇高、使彼得灌溉之群樹、立於四周、因俱必枯而死、偃於地之深處、與人之下墓無異、

Therefore no other trees by the waters are ever to tower proudly on high, lifting their tops above the thick foliage. No other trees so well- watered are ever to reach such a height; they are all destined for death, for the earth below, among mortals who go down to the realm of the dead.

So trees that receive plenty of water must never grow so high that it makes them proud. Their tops must never be above the rest of the leaves. No other trees that receive a lot of water must ever grow that high. They are appointed to die and go down into the earth below. They will join human beings, who go down to the place of the dead.”

All this is in order that no trees by the waters may grow to towering height or set their tops among the clouds, and that no trees that drink water may reach up to them in height. For they are all given over to death, to the world below, among the children of man, with those who go down to the pit.

Let the tree of no other nation proudly exult in its own prosperity, though it be higher than the clouds and it be watered from the depths. For all are doomed to die, to go down to the depths of the earth. They will land in the pit along with everyone else on earth.

This happened so that no trees planted beside water would become great in height and set their tops among the clouds, and so that no other well-watered trees would reach them in height. For they have all been consigned to death, to the underworld, among the people who descend to the Pit.

so that all the trees by the waters will not be exalted in their stature, nor put their tops among the clouds, nor will any of their well watered mighty ones stand straight in their height. For they have all been turned over to death, to the earth beneath, among mankind, with those who go down to the pit.”

So that no trees by the waters may ever again exalt themselves for their height, nor set their tops among the thick boughs, that no tree which drinks water may ever be high enough to reach up to them.‘ For they have all been delivered to death, To the depths of the earth, Among the children of men who go down to the Pit.’

他們遭遇這些事都要作為鑑戒，並且寫在經上，正是警戒我們這末世的人。

又判定所多瑪、蛾摩拉，將二城傾覆，焚燒成灰，作為後世不敬虔人的鑑戒；

本城的眾人就要用石頭將他打死。這樣，就把那惡從你們中間除掉，以色列眾人都要聽見害怕。」

「人子啊，你要為埃及羣眾哀號，又要將埃及和有名之國的女子，並下坑的人，一同扔到陰府去。你埃及的美麗勝過誰呢？你下去與未受割禮的人一同躺臥吧！他們必在被殺的人中仆倒。她被交給刀劍，要把她和她的羣眾拉去。強盛的勇士要在陰間對埃及王和幫助他的說話；他們是未受割禮被殺的人，已經下去，躺臥不動。「亞述和她的眾民都在那裏，她民的墳墓在她四圍；他們都是被殺倒在刀下的。他們的墳墓在坑中極深之處。她的眾民在她墳墓的四圍，都是被殺倒在刀下的；他們曾在活人之地使人驚恐。「以攔也在那裏，她的羣眾在她墳墓的四圍，都是被殺倒在刀下、未受割禮而下陰府的；他們曾在活人之地使人驚恐，並且與下坑的人一同擔當羞辱。人給她和她的羣眾在被殺的人中設立牀榻。她民的墳墓在她四圍，他們都是未受割禮被刀殺的；他們曾在活人之地使人驚恐，並且與下坑的人一同擔當羞辱。以攔已經放在被殺的人中。「米設、土巴，和她們的羣眾都在那裏。她民的墳墓在她四圍，他們都是未受割禮被刀殺的；他們曾在活人之地使人驚恐。他們不得與那未受割禮仆倒的勇士一同躺臥；這些勇士帶着兵器下陰間，頭枕刀劍，骨頭上有本身的罪孽；他們曾在活人之地使勇士驚恐。「法老啊，你必在未受割禮的人中敗壞，與那些被殺的人一同躺臥。「以東也在那裏。她君王和一切首領雖然仗着勢力，還是放在被殺的人中；他們必與未受割禮的和下坑的人一同躺臥。「在那裏有北方的眾王子和一切西頓人，都與被殺的人下去。他們雖然仗着勢力使人驚恐，還是蒙羞。他們未受割禮，和被刀殺的一同躺臥，與下坑的人一同擔當羞辱。「法老看見他們，便為他被殺的軍隊受安慰。這是主耶和華說的。我任憑法老在活人之地使人驚恐，法老和他的羣眾必放在未受割禮和被殺的人中。這是主耶和華說的。」

以色列眾人都要聽見害怕，就不敢在你們中間再行這樣的惡了。

你必被趕出離開世人，與野地的獸同居，吃草如牛，且要經過七期。等你知道至高者在人的國中掌權，要將國賜與誰就賜與誰。」

但那些尋索要滅我命的人必往地底下去；他們必被刀劍所殺，被野狗所吃。

伯沙撒啊，你是他的兒子，你雖知道這一切，你心仍不自卑，竟向天上的主自高，使人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、皇后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識、金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所造的神，卻沒有將榮耀歸與那手中有你氣息，管理你一切行動的神。

在這樣榮耀威勢上，在伊甸園諸樹中，誰能與你相比呢？然而你要與伊甸的諸樹一同下到陰府，在未受割禮的人中，與被殺的人一同躺臥。「法老和他的羣眾乃是如此。這是主耶和華說的。」
