I gave it into the hands of the ruler of the nations, for him to deal with according to its wickedness. I cast it aside,

So I handed it over to the Babylonian ruler of the nations. I wanted him to punish it because it was so evil. I decided to get rid of it.

主天主如是云、巴比倫王之刃必臨爾、我必使爾眾庶、殞亡於勇士之刃、彼皆列國之強暴、必奪伊及所賴以為榮者、伊及眾庶、悉必見滅、

爾當謹守遵行我之一切律例法度、如是、我所導爾入以居之地、必容爾居之、必容爾居之原文作必不吐爾我於爾前所將逐之諸族、毋從其習俗、彼等行此惡事、故我憎之、

未施矜恤者、被審判時、亦不見矜恤、蓋矜恤必勝審判、○

人聞我嗟嘆、不加慰藉、我一切敵聞我遘災、為主所降、反增欣喜、我一切敵聞我遘災為主所降反增欣喜或作我一切敵聞我遘災則皆欣喜此乃主所使主已宣告其日將至、我敵遭災、與我無異、斯言望主應驗、

爾毋行此沾污己身、我於爾前所將逐之諸族皆行之、自取沾污、其地亦染污穢、緣此我討居民之罪、使地不容之、原文作使地吐其居民故爾曹無論土著、及寄居爾中之外邦客旅、皆當遵守我之律例法度、毋行此可憎之事、在爾以前居此地之民、行此一切可憎之事、使地染污穢、爾若亦玷污斯地、惟恐地不容不容原文作吐下同爾、如不容在爾以前之居民然、

逐爾出邑、付爾於異邦人手、降罰於爾、

勿議人、則不見議、爾議人如何、則見議亦若是、爾以何量量諸人、人亦以何量量諸爾、
