For the day is near, even Yahweh’s day is near. It will be a day of clouds, a time of the nations.

For the day is near, the day of the Lord is near— a day of clouds, a time of doom for the nations.

The day is near. The day of the Lord is coming. It will be a cloudy day. The nations have been sentenced to die.

For the day is near, the day of the Lord is near; it will be a day of clouds, a time of doom for the nations.

for the terrible day is almost here— the day of the Lord! It is a day of clouds and gloom, a day of despair for the nations.

For a day is near; a day belonging to the LORD is near. It will be a day of clouds, a time of doom for the nations.

For the day is near, Indeed, the day of the Lord is near; It will be a day of clouds, A time of doom for the nations.

For the day is near, Even the day of the Lord is near; It will be a day of clouds, the time of the Gentiles.

For the day of Yahweh is near all the nations! As you have done, it will be done to you. Your deeds will return upon your own head.

At Tehaphnehes also the day will withdraw itself, when I break the yokes of Egypt, there. The pride of her power will cease in her. As for her, a cloud will cover her, and her daughters will go into captivity.

As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so I will seek out my sheep. I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

Your doom has come to you, inhabitant of the land! The time has come! The day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, on the mountains.

The time has come! The day draws near. Don’t let the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is on all its multitude.

The great day of Yahweh is near. It is near, and hurries greatly, the voice of the day of Yahweh. The mighty man cries there bitterly.

I have cut off nations. Their battlements are desolate. I have made their streets waste, so that no one passes by. Their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, so that there is no inhabitant.I said,“ Just fear me. Receive correction, so that her dwelling won’t be cut off, according to all that I have appointed concerning her.” But they rose early and corrupted all their doings.

When I extinguish you, I will cover the heavens and make its stars dark. I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon won’t give its light.

Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of Yahweh comes, for it is close at hand:A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness. As the dawn spreading on the mountains, a great and strong people; there has never been the like, neither will there be any more after them, even to the years of many generations.

Therefore Yahweh, the God of Armies, the Lord, says:“ Wailing will be in all the wide ways; and they will say in all the streets,‘ Alas! Alas!’ and they will call the farmer to mourning, and those who are skillful in lamentation to wailing.In all vineyards there will be wailing; for I will pass through the middle of you,” says Yahweh.“ Woe to you who desire the day of Yahweh! Why do you long for the day of Yahweh? It is darkness, and not light.As if a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him; Or he went into the house and leaned his hand on the wall, and a snake bit him.Won’t the day of Yahweh be darkness, and not light? Even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Be silent at the presence of the Lord Yahweh, for the day of Yahweh is at hand. For Yahweh has prepared a sacrifice. He has consecrated his guests.

Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in two, from east to west, making a very great valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and half of it toward the south.You shall flee by the valley of my mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azel; yes, you shall flee, just like you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Yahweh my God will come, and all the holy ones with you.It will happen in that day, that there will not be light, cold, or frost.It will be a unique day which is known to Yahweh; not day, and not night; but it will come to pass, that at evening time there will be light.It will happen in that day, that living waters will go out from Jerusalem: half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea. It will be so in summer and in winter.Yahweh will be King over all the earth. In that day Yahweh will be one, and his name one.All the land will be made like the Arabah, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; and she will be lifted up, and will dwell in her place, from Benjamin’s gate to the place of the first gate, to the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananel to the king’s wine presses.Men will dwell therein, and there will be no more curse; but Jerusalem will dwell safely.This will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike all the peoples who have fought against Jerusalem: their flesh will consume away while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will consume away in their sockets, and their tongue will consume away in their mouth.It will happen in that day, that a great panic from Yahweh will be among them; and they will each hold onto the hand of his neighbor, and his hand will rise up against the hand of his neighbor.Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered together: gold, and silver, and clothing, in great abundance.A plague like this will fall on the horse, on the mule, on the camel, on the donkey, and on all the animals that will be in those camps.It will happen that everyone who is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, and to keep the feast of booths.It will be, that whoever of all the families of the earth doesn’t go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of Armies, on them there will be no rain.If the family of Egypt doesn’t go up, and doesn’t come, neither will it rain on them. This will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of booths.This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that don’t go up to keep the feast of booths.

Alas for the day! For the day of Yahweh is at hand, and it will come as destruction from the Almighty.

It will happen in that day that Yahweh will punish the army of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth on the earth.They will be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and will be shut up in the prison; and after many days they will be visited.Then the moon will be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for Yahweh of Armies will reign on Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem; and glory will be before his elders.

For Yahweh is enraged against all the nations, and angry with all their armies. He has utterly destroyed them. He has given them over for slaughter.Their slain will also be cast out, and the stench of their dead bodies will come up. The mountains will melt in their blood.All of the army of the sky will be dissolved. The sky will be rolled up like a scroll, and all its armies will fade away, as a leaf fades from off a vine or a fig tree.For my sword has drunk its fill in the sky. Behold, it will come down on Edom, and on the people of my curse, for judgment.Yahweh’s sword is filled with blood. It is covered with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for Yahweh has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.The wild oxen will come down with them, and the young bulls with the mighty bulls; and their land will be drunken with blood, and their dust made greasy with fat.For Yahweh has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.Its streams will be turned into pitch, its dust into sulfur, And its land will become burning pitch.It won’t be quenched night nor day. Its smoke will go up forever. From generation to generation, it will lie waste. No one will pass through it forever and ever.But the pelican and the porcupine will possess it. The owl and the raven will dwell in it. He will stretch the line of confusion over it, and the plumb line of emptiness.They shall call its nobles to the kingdom, but none shall be there; and all its princes shall be nothing.Thorns will come up in its palaces, nettles and thistles in its fortresses; and it will be a habitation of jackals, a court for ostriches.The wild animals of the desert will meet with the wolves, and the wild goat will cry to his fellow. Yes, the night creature shall settle there, and shall find herself a place of rest.The arrow snake will make her nest there, and lay, hatch, and gather under her shade. Yes, the kites will be gathered there, every one with her mate.Search in the book of Yahweh, and read: not one of these will be missing. None will lack her mate. For my mouth has commanded, and his Spirit has gathered them.He has cast the lot for them, and his hand has divided it to them with a measuring line. They shall possess it forever. From generation to generation they will dwell in it.

For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to me:“ Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send you to drink it.They will drink, and reel back and forth, and be insane, because of the sword that I will send among them.”Then I took the cup at Yahweh’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Yahweh had sent me:Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, with its kings and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is today;Pharaoh king of Egypt, with his servants, his princes, and all his people;and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the Philistines, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;Edom, Moab, and the children of Ammon;and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;and all the kings of Arabia, all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;and all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth. The king of Sheshach will drink after them.“ You shall tell them,‘ Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says:“ Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.”’It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them,‘ Yahweh of Armies says:“ You shall surely drink.For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You will not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Yahweh of Armies.”’

It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. There was the cloud and the darkness, yet gave it light by night. One didn’t come near the other all night.

In the morning watch, Yahweh looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army.

Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Hurry and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves together.” Cause your mighty ones to come down there, Yahweh.“ Let the nations arouse themselves, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat; for there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.Put in the sickle; for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full, the vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.”Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of Yahweh is near, in the valley of decision.

They will cast their silver in the streets, and their gold will be as an unclean thing. Their silver and their gold won’t be able to deliver them in the day of Yahweh’s wrath. They won’t satisfy their souls or fill their bellies; because it has been the stumbling block of their iniquity.

Don’t grumble, brothers, against one another, so that you won’t be judged. Behold, the judge stands at the door.

He will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth.

to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;to execute on them the written judgment. All his saints have this honor. Praise Yah!

for the great day of his wrath has come; and who is able to stand?”

The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

The burden of Egypt.“ Behold, Yahweh rides on a swift cloud, and comes to Egypt. The idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt will melt within it.

He is clothed in a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called“ The Word of God.”The armies which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in white, pure, fine linen.Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double- edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written,“ KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”I saw an angel standing in the sun. He cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the sky,“ Come! Be gathered together to the great supper of God,that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, small and great.”I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse, and against his army.The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.The rest were killed with the sword of him who sat on the horse, the sword which came out of his mouth. All the birds were filled with their flesh.

I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the middle of the countries that are desolate. Her cities among the cities that are laid waste will be a desolation forty years. I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.”
