主耶和華這樣說：“‘我必毀滅偶像，使虛無的神像從挪弗滅絕。必不再有君王從埃及地而出；我也必使懼怕臨到埃及地。

主耶和华如此说：“我必毁灭偶像，从挪弗除灭神像；必不再有君王出自埃及地。我要使埃及地的人惧怕。

“主耶和华如此说：我要毁灭偶像，从挪弗除掉神像；不再有君王出自埃及地，我要使埃及地的人惧怕。

“主耶和华如此说：我要毁灭偶像，从挪弗除掉神像；不再有君王出自埃及地，我要使埃及地的人惧怕。

“主耶和华说，‘我要毁灭偶像，铲除挪弗的神像。埃及再没有君王，国内到处充满恐惧。

主耶和华这样说：“‘我必毁灭偶像，使虚无的神像从挪弗灭绝。必不再有君王从埃及地而出；我也必使惧怕临到埃及地。

主耶和華如此說：我必毀滅偶像，從挪弗除滅神像；必不再有君王出自埃及地。我要使埃及地的人懼怕。

「主耶和華說，『我要毀滅偶像，剷除挪弗的神像。埃及再沒有君王，國內到處充滿恐懼。

『主永恆主這麼說：我必毁滅偶像，必從挪弗使佛相滅絕：必不再有人君出自埃及地；我必將懼怕放於埃及地境內。

主耶和華曰、我必毀其偶像、絕其神像於挪弗、埃及不復有君、其地震驚、我使之然、

主耶和華又曰、我必斫其偶像、使不存於挪弗、埃及無君、庶民恐懼、

主天主如是云、我必毀滅偶像、自挪弗剿除神像、使伊及不復有君、使伊及人民、無不恐懼、

“‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ I will destroy the idols and put an end to the images in Memphis. No longer will there be a prince in Egypt, and I will spread fear throughout the land.

The Lord and King says,“ I will destroy the statues of Egypt’s gods. I will put an end to the gods the people in Memphis worship. Egypt will not have princes anymore. I will spread fear all through the land.

“ Thus says the Lord God:“ I will destroy the idols and put an end to the images in Memphis; there shall no longer be a prince from the land of Egypt; so I will put fear in the land of Egypt.

“ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will smash the idols of Egypt and the images at Memphis. There will be no rulers left in Egypt; terror will sweep the land.

“‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: I will destroy the worthless idols and put an end to the false gods in Memphis. There will no longer be a prince from the land of Egypt. And I will instill fear in that land.

‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ I will also destroy the idols And make the images cease from Memphis. And there will no longer be a prince in the land of Egypt; And I will put fear in the land of Egypt.

‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ I will also destroy the idols, And cause the images to cease from Noph; There shall no longer be princes from the land of Egypt; I will put fear in the land of Egypt.

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause the images to cease from Memphis; and there shall be no more a prince from the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

This is what the Lord God says: I will destroy the idols and put an end to the false gods in Memphis. There will no longer be a prince from the land of Egypt. So I will instill fear in that land.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause[ their] images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

“‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: I will destroy the idols, and put an end to the gods of Memphis. There will no longer be a prince from the land of Egypt; so I will make the land of Egypt fearful.

“‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause the images to cease from Memphis. There will be no more a prince from the land of Egypt. I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

他必經過苦難的海，擊打海中的波浪，尼羅河的深處也都要乾涸；亞述的驕傲必降為卑；埃及的權勢要過去。

“你們要在埃及傳揚，在密奪宣告，在挪弗和答比匿宣揚，說：‘要站好崗位，作好準備，因為刀劍要吞滅你周圍的人！’

挪弗人和答比匿人也剃光了你的頭頂。

萬軍之耶和華以色列的神說：“看哪！我必懲罰挪的亞捫神、法老和那些倚靠法老的人。

但為甚麼我看見他們驚惶，轉身退後呢？他們的勇士被擊敗了，他們急速奔逃，不敢回轉。四圍都是驚慌。”這是耶和華的宣告。

因為在那一夜我要走遍埃及地，把埃及地所有頭生的，無論是人或是牲畜，都要殺掉；我也要審判埃及的一切神祇，我是耶和華。

關於埃及的默示：看哪！耶和華駕著輕快的雲，來到埃及；埃及的偶像在他面前戰兢，埃及人的心都驚怕。我要激動埃及人去攻擊埃及人，他們就相爭起來，各人攻擊自己的兄弟，各人攻擊自己的鄰舍，城攻擊城；國攻擊國。埃及人的意志必消沉，我要破壞他們的計謀；他們必求問偶像、念咒的、交鬼的和行巫術的。我必把埃及人交在殘暴的主人手中；兇猛的君王要管轄他們；這是主萬軍之耶和華說的。海中的眾水必乾透，河床必枯竭乾涸。河道必發臭，埃及眾河流的水必消退乾涸；葦子和蘆荻都必枯萎。尼羅河旁、尼羅河口的草田，以及沿著尼羅河所種的田都必枯乾，被吹散，不再存在。打魚的人必哀號；所有在尼羅河上垂釣的必悲傷；那些在水面上撒網的，必灰心難過。那些用梳好的麻來紡紗的，和那些織白布的，都必羞愧。埃及的柱石必被打碎，所有受雇的工人也必心裡憂愁。瑣安的領袖非常愚昧，法老那些最有智慧的謀士所籌算的，都成為愚昧。你們怎能對法老說：“我是智慧人的兒子，是古代君王的後裔”呢？你的智慧人在哪裡呢？萬軍之耶和華向埃及所定的旨意是怎樣的？就讓他們告訴你，使你知道吧！瑣安的領袖都變為愚昧，挪弗的領袖都受了欺騙；那些在埃及支派中作房角石的，使埃及人走錯了路。耶和華讓歪曲的靈攙入埃及當中，以致他們使埃及一切所作的都有謬誤，好像醉酒的人嘔吐的時候，東倒西歪一樣。無論是頭或尾、棕枝或蘆葦所作的，都不能為埃及成就甚麼事。到那日，埃及人必像婦人一樣。他們必因萬軍之耶和華在埃及之上揮手而戰兢恐懼。

看哪！即使他們從毀滅中逃去，埃及要收殮他們，摩弗要埋葬他們。他們珍貴的銀器必為蒺藜所佔有，他們的帳棚必長滿荊棘。

“到那日（這是萬軍之耶和華的宣告），我必從這地除掉偶像的名號，它們不再被人記念；我也必從這地除去假先知和污穢的靈。

他（按照《馬索拉文本》，“他”應作“我”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）必焚燒埃及的神廟，把它們燒毀，並且擄掠；他必得著埃及地，好像牧人披上衣服那麼容易；他必安然離開那裡。他必打碎埃及地伯．示麥（“伯‧示麥”或譯：“太陽神廟”）的神柱，放火燒毀埃及神廟。’”以下的話臨到耶利米，論到所有住在埃及地的猶大人，就是那些住在密奪、答比匿、挪弗和巴忒羅地的人，說：

對於他們，耶和華是可畏懼的，因為他要消滅地上一切神祇；那時，列國海島上的居民，都各在自己的地方敬拜他。

我必使埃及被擄的人歸回，使他們歸回自己根源之地巴忒羅，在那裡他們必成為低微的國。這國必成為列國中最低微的，也必不能再攀到列國之上；我必使他們弱小，以致他們不能再管轄列國。
