But I will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are.

But I will make you just as stubborn as they are.

Behold, I have made your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.

But look, I have made you as obstinate and hard hearted as they are.

Behold, I have made your face just as hard as their faces, and your forehead just as hard as their foreheads.

Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead strong against their foreheads.

Behold, I have made thy face hard against their faces, and thy forehead hard against their foreheads.

“ I have made your face adamant to match their faces, and your forehead hard to match their foreheads.

Behold, I have made your face hard against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads.

Today, I am the one who has made you a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land— against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests, and the population.

Then I will make you a fortified wall of bronze to this people. They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to save you and rescue you. This is the LORD’s declaration.

Ahab said to Elijah,“ So, my enemy, you’ve found me, have you?” He replied,“ I have found you because you devoted yourself to do what is evil in the LORD’s sight.

After that, I will get out.” And he went out from Pharaoh’s presence fiercely angry.

The Lord GOD will help me; therefore I have not been humiliated; therefore I have set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.

“ You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit. As your ancestors did, you do also.Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute? They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become.You received the law under the direction of angels and yet have not kept it.”When they heard these things, they were enraged and gnashed their teeth at him.Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. He saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.He said,“ Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

And what more can I say? Time is too short for me to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets,who by faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions,quenched the raging of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, gained strength in weakness, became mighty in battle, and put foreign armies to flight.Women received their dead, raised to life again. Other people were tortured, not accepting release, so that they might gain a better resurrection.Others experienced mockings and scourgings, as well as bonds and imprisonment.They were stoned, they were sawed in two, they died by the sword, they wandered about in sheepskins, in goatskins, destitute, afflicted, and mistreated.

By faith he left Egypt behind, not being afraid of the king’s anger, for Moses persevered as one who sees him who is invisible.

As for me, however, I am filled with power by the Spirit of the LORD, with justice and courage, to proclaim to Jacob his rebellion and to Israel his sin.

You will speak with him and tell him what to say. I will help both you and him to speak and will teach you both what to do.He will speak to the people for you. He will serve as a mouth for you, and you will serve as God to him.
