But the people of Israel are not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for all the Israelites are hardened and obstinate.

But the people of Israel do not want to listen to you. That is because they do not want to listen to me. All the Israelites are very stubborn.

But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

But the people of Israel won’t listen to you any more than they listen to me! For the whole lot of them are hard hearted and stubborn.

But the house of Israel will not want to listen to you because they do not want to listen to me. For the whole house of Israel is hardheaded and hardhearted.

这些人厚着脸皮，心里刚硬。我差你到他们那里去，你要对他们说：‘主耶和华如此说。’

耶和华对撒母耳说：“你只管听从百姓向你说的一切话，因为他们不是厌弃你，而是厌弃我，不要我作他们的王。

他们的脸色证明自己不正，他们述说自己像所多玛一样的罪恶，毫不隐瞒。他们有祸了！因为作恶自害。

“从亚们的儿子犹大王约西亚十三年直到今日，在这二十三年中，常有耶和华的话临到我；我也一再对你们传讲，只是你们不听从。耶和华也曾一再差遣他的仆人众先知到你们这里来，只是你们不听从，也不侧耳而听，

他本国的百姓却恨他，打发使者随后去，说：‘我们不愿意这个人作我们的王。’

耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊，你常杀害先知，又用石头打死那奉差遣到你这里来的人。我多少次想聚集你的儿女，好像母鸡把小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，可是你们不愿意。

因此甘霖停止，春雨不降。你还是一副娼妓之脸，不顾羞耻。

你们要记得我对你们说过的话：‘仆人不大于主人。’他们若迫害了我，也会迫害你们，他们若遵守了我的话，也会遵守你们的话。但他们要因我的名向你们做这一切的事，因为他们不认识差我来的那位。我若没有来教导他们，他们就没有罪；但如今他们的罪无可推诿了。恨我的也恨我的父。我若没有在他们中间做过别人未曾做的事，他们就没有罪；但如今连我与我的父，他们也看见了，也恨恶了。

这城所流的血还在城中，血倒在光滑的磐石上，没有倒在地上，用土掩盖；

“论到你奉耶和华的名向我们所说的话，我们必不听从。

耶和华啊，你的眼目不是在寻找诚实吗？你击打他们，他们却不伤恸；你摧毁他们，他们仍不领受管教。他们使脸刚硬过于磐石，不肯回头。

我一再差遣我的仆人众先知去，说：你们切不可行我所厌恶这可憎之事。他们却不听从，不侧耳而听，也不转离恶事，仍向别神烧香。

然而，你们不肯到我这里来得生命。“我不接受从人来的荣耀，但我知道，你们没有爱上帝的心。我奉我父的名来了，你们并不接纳我；若有别人奉自己的名来，你们倒会接纳他。你们互相受荣耀，却不寻求从独一上帝来的荣耀，怎能信我呢？不要以为我会在父面前告你们；有一位告你们的，就是你们所仰望的摩西。如果你们信摩西，也会信我，因为他写过关于我的事。你们若不信他的书，怎能信我的话呢？”

耶稣又对门徒说：“听从你们的就是听从我；弃绝你们的就是弃绝我；弃绝我的就是弃绝差遣我来的那位。”
