But the people of Israel are not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for all the Israelites are hardened and obstinate.

But the people of Israel do not want to listen to you. That is because they do not want to listen to me. All the Israelites are very stubborn.

But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

But the people of Israel won’t listen to you any more than they listen to me! For the whole lot of them are hard hearted and stubborn.

But the house of Israel will not want to listen to you because they do not want to listen to me. For the whole house of Israel is hardheaded and hardhearted.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

The look on their countenance witnesses against them, And they declare their sin as Sodom; They do not hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought evil upon themselves.

“ From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, this is the twenty-third year in which the word of the Lord has come to me; and I have spoken to you, rising early and speaking, but you have not listened.And the Lord has sent to you all His servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear.

But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying,‘ We will not have this man to reign over us.’

“ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!

Therefore the showers have been withheld, And there has been no latter rain. You have had a harlot’s forehead; You refuse to be ashamed.

Remember the word that I said to you,‘ A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.He who hates Me hates My Father also.If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.

For her blood is in her midst; She set it on top of a rock; She did not pour it on the ground, To cover it with dust.

“ As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you!

O Lord, are not Your eyes on the truth? You have stricken them, But they have not grieved; You have consumed them, But they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; They have refused to return.

However I have sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying,“ Oh, do not do this abominable thing that I hate!”But they did not listen or incline their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense to other gods.

But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.“ I do not receive honor from men.But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you— Moses, in whom you trust.For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.”
