But the people of Israel are not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for all the Israelites are hardened and obstinate.

But the people of Israel do not want to listen to you. That is because they do not want to listen to me. All the Israelites are very stubborn.

But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

But the people of Israel won’t listen to you any more than they listen to me! For the whole lot of them are hard hearted and stubborn.

But the house of Israel will not want to listen to you because they do not want to listen to me. For the whole house of Israel is hardheaded and hardhearted.

我派你到那些顽固不化的人那里，向他们宣告，‘主耶和华这样说。’

耶和华对撒母耳说：“你照他们所说的去做吧，因为他们不是拒绝你，而是拒绝我做他们的王。

他们的表情显出他们心术不正，他们跟所多玛人一样对自己的罪恶津津乐道，毫不隐瞒。他们必大祸临头，自招毁灭。

“从犹大王亚们的儿子约西亚执政第十三年，到今天已有二十三年。在这期间，我不断把耶和华对我说的话传给你们，你们却充耳不闻。耶和华屡次差遣祂的仆人——众先知警告你们，你们却充耳不闻，毫不理会。

“可是他的人民却憎恨他，他们随后派一个代表团去请愿说，‘我们不要这人做我们的王。’

“耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊！你常杀害先知，又用石头打死派到你那里的使者。我多次想要招聚你的儿女，像母鸡将小鸡招聚在翅膀底下，可是你们却不肯。

因此，秋雨不降，春雨不来。你却仍然不知羞耻，一副娼妓的嘴脸。

你们要记住我说的话，‘奴仆不能大过主人。’他们若迫害我，也必迫害你们；他们若遵行我的话，也必遵行你们的话。世人将因为我的名而这样对待你们，因为他们不认识差我来的那位。我如果没有来教导他们，他们就没有罪了，但现在他们的罪无可推诿。恨我的，也恨我的父。我如果没有在他们当中行过空前的神迹，他们就没有罪了。然而，他们亲眼看见了，竟然还恨我和我的父。

这城沾满血腥，任凭受害者的血流在光秃秃的磐石上，而不是流在地上用土掩盖。

“我们不会听从你奉耶和华的名对我们说的话。

耶和华啊，你要的不是诚实吗？你责打他们，他们不感到疼痛；你严惩他们，他们仍不受教。他们屡教不改，脸比石头还硬。

我屡次差遣我的仆人——众先知警告他们不要再做令我深恶痛绝的事，他们却毫不理会，不肯改掉向假神烧香的恶行。

但你们却不肯到我这里来得生命。“我不接受人所给予的荣耀，我知道你们没有爱上帝的心。我奉我父的名来，你们不接受我；若有人奉自己的名来，你们却接受他。你们喜欢互相恭维，却不追求从独一上帝来的荣耀，怎能信我呢？不要以为我会在父面前控告你们，其实控告你们的是你们一直信赖的摩西。你们若信摩西，就应该信我，因为他的书里也提到我。如果你们连他写的都不信，又怎能信我的话呢？”

耶稣继续对门徒说：“谁听从你们，就是听从我；谁拒绝你们，就是拒绝我；拒绝我的，就是拒绝差我来的那位。”
