我將使爾舌黏於腭、瘖啞不能責之、彼乃悖逆之家、

我使爾舌卷、瘖不能言、維彼悖逆之流、毋庸督責、

我使爾舌貼於上齶、使爾為瘖、不得斥責斯民、彼原為忤逆之族、

I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, for they are a rebellious people.

I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth. Then you will be silent. You will not be able to correct them. That’s because they always refuse to obey me.

And I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be mute and unable to reprove them, for they are a rebellious house.

主啊，求你使我嘴唇張開，我的口就傳揚讚美你的話！

他對我說：「人子啊，我差你往悖逆我的國家，以色列人那裏去，他們是悖逆我的。他們和他們的祖先違背我，直到今日。這些人厚着臉皮，心裏剛硬。我差你到他們那裏去，你要對他們說：『主耶和華如此說。』他們是悖逆之家，他們或聽，或不聽，必知道在他們中間有了先知。你，人子啊，雖有荊棘和蒺藜在你那裏，你又住在蠍子中間，總不要怕他們，也不要怕他們的話；他們雖是悖逆之家，但你不要怕他們的話，也不要因他們的臉色驚惶。他們或聽，或不聽，你只管將我的話告訴他們；他們是極其悖逆的。「但是你，人子啊，要聽我對你說的話，不要像那悖逆之家一樣悖逆，要開口吃我所賜給你的。」

你們怨恨那在城門口斷是非的，憎惡那說正直話的。

你們因此必遭遇黑夜，看不到異象；遭遇幽暗，無法占卜。太陽必向先知沉落，白晝轉為黑暗。先見必抱愧，占卜的必蒙羞，他們全都摀着鬍鬚，因為神不應允他們。

天哪，要聽！地啊，側耳而聽！因為耶和華說：「我養育兒女，將他們養大，他們竟悖逆我。

以法蓮親近偶像，任憑他吧！

所以你當束腰，起來，將我所吩咐你的一切話都告訴他們；不要因他們驚惶，免得我使你在他們面前驚惶。

錫安的門陷入地裏，主毀壞，折斷她的門閂。她的君王和官長都置身列國中，沒有律法；她的先知也不再從耶和華領受異象。

到了時候，這些話必然應驗；只因你不信我的話，你會成為啞巴，不能說話，直到這些事實現的日子。」百姓等候撒迦利亞，詫異他在聖所裏遲延那麼久。到他出來，卻不能和他們說話，他們就知道他在聖所裏見了異象；他直向他們打手勢，因為他成了啞巴。

不容驕傲人的腳踐踏我，不容兇惡人的手趕逐我。在那裏，作惡的人已經仆倒；他們被推倒，不能再起來。

「看哪，日子將到，我必命饑荒降在地上；人飢餓非因無餅，乾渴非因無水，而是因不聽耶和華的話。」這是主耶和華說的。他們必飄流，從這海到那海，從北邊到東邊，往來奔跑，尋求耶和華的話，卻尋不着。
