我使爾舌貼於上齶、使爾為瘖、不得斥責斯民、彼原為忤逆之族、

I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, for they are a rebellious people.

諸天哪，你們當聽！大地啊，你當傾聽！因為耶和華說：「我養育兒女，帶大了他們，他們卻悖逆了我。

看哪，你要成為啞巴，不能說話，一直到這些事成就的日子，因為你不相信我的話！到了時候，我的話就會應驗。」民眾等候著撒迦利亞，對他在聖所裡的遲延不出感到驚奇。當他出來不能和他們說話的時候，他們才了解他在聖所裡看到了異象。撒迦利亞一直向他們打手勢，卻始終不能說話。

不要讓自高之人的腳靠近我，不要讓惡人的手趕逐我。看哪，作惡的人已經仆倒；他們被推倒，不能夠起來。
