But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he had clearly done wrong.Until certain people came from James, he had been eating with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he stopped doing this and separated himself because he was afraid of those who were pro- circumcision.And the rest of the Jews also joined with him in this hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was led astray with them by their hypocrisy.

So communicate these things with the sort of exhortation or rebuke that carries full authority. Don’t let anyone look down on you.

We proclaim him by instructing and teaching all people with all wisdom so that we may present every person mature in Christ.

In this matter no one should violate the rights of his brother or take advantage of him, because the Lord is the avenger in all these cases, as we also told you earlier and warned you solemnly.For God did not call us to impurity but in holiness.Consequently the one who rejects this is not rejecting human authority but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

Everyone who resides in him does not sin; everyone who sins has neither seen him nor known him.Little children, let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as Jesus is righteous.The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed: to destroy the works of the devil.Everyone who has been fathered by God does not practice sin, because God’s seed resides in him, and thus he is not able to sin, because he has been fathered by God.

So put to deat h whatever in your nature belongs to the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, shameful passion, evil desire, and greed which is idolatry.Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.You also lived your lives in this way at one time, when you used to live among them.But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.

So let the one who thinks he is standing be careful that he does not fall.

So I say this, and insist in the Lord, that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.They are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.Because they are callous, they have given themselves over to indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.But you did not learn about Christ like this,if indeed you heard about him and were taught in him, just as the truth is in Jesus.

I am not writing these things to shame you, but to correct you as my dear children.

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, admonish the undisciplined, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient toward all.

A rebuke makes a greater impression on a discerning person than a hundred blows on a fool.

Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; those who obey them receive a rich reward.

For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.Remember, I have told you ahead of time.

Give instruction to a wise person, and he will become wiser still; teach a righteous person and he will add to his learning.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are following a different gospel–not that there really is another gospel, but there are some who are disturbing you and wanting to distort the gospel of Christ.But even if we( or an angel from heaven) should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be condemned to hell!As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be condemned to hell!Am I now trying to gain the approval of people, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ!

Be conscientious about how you live and what you teach. Persevere in this, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

All those I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent!

Listen! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you at all!And I testify again to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.You who are trying to be declared righteous by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace!For through the Spirit, by faith, we wait expectantly for the hope of righteousness.For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision carries any weight– the only thing that matters is faith working through love.You were running well; who prevented you from obeying the truth?

But as for you, if you warn the wicked and he does not turn from his wicked deed and from his wicked lifestyle, he will die for his iniquity but you will have saved your own life.“ When a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I set an obstacle before him, he will die. If you have not warned him, he will die for his sin. The righteous deeds he performed will not be considered, but I will hold you accountable for his death.

he should know that the one who turns a sinner back from his wandering path will save that person’s soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

For you can be confident of this one thing: that no person who is immoral, impure, or greedy( such a person is an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.Let nobody deceive you with empty words, for because of these things God’s wrath comes on the sons of disobedience.
