Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for three years I never stopped warning each one of you with tears.

But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face because he stood condemned.For he regularly ate with the Gentiles before certain men came from James. However, when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, because he feared those from the circumcision party.Then the rest of the Jews joined his hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy.

Proclaim these things; encourage and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

We proclaim him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

This means one must not transgress against and take advantage of a brother or sister in this manner, because the Lord is an avenger of all these offenses, as we also previously told and warned you.For God has not called us to impurity but to live in holiness.Consequently, anyone who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.

Everyone who remains in him does not sin; everyone who sins has not seen him or known him.Little children, let no one deceive you. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.The one who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.Everyone who has been born of God does not sin, because his seed remains in him; he is not able to sin, because he has been born of God.

Therefore, put to death what belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.Because of these, God’s wrath is coming upon the disobedient,and you once walked in these things when you were living in them.But now, put away all the following: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth.

So, whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall.

Therefore, I say this and testify in the Lord: You should no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thoughts.They are darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them and because of the hardness of their hearts.They became callous and gave themselves over to promiscuity for the practice of every kind of impurity with a desire for more and more.But that is not how you came to know Christ,assuming you heard about him and were taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus,

I’m not writing this to shame you, but to warn you as my dear children.

And we exhort you, brothers and sisters: warn those who are idle, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

A rebuke cuts into a perceptive person more than a hundred lashes into a fool.

In addition, your servant is warned by them, and in keeping them there is an abundant reward.

For false messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.Take note: I have told you in advance.

Instruct the wise, and he will be wiser still; teach the righteous, and he will learn more.

I am amazed that you are so quickly turning away from him who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are troubling you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, a curse be on him!As we have said before, I now say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, a curse be on him!For am I now trying to persuade people, or God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Pay close attention to your life and your teaching; persevere in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and your hearers.

As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be zealous and repent.

Take note! I, Paul, am telling you that if you get yourselves circumcised, Christ will not benefit you at all.Again I testify to every man who gets himself circumcised that he is obligated to do the entire law.You who are trying to be justified by the law are alienated from Christ; you have fallen from grace.For we eagerly await through the Spirit, by faith, the hope of righteousness.For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision accomplishes anything; what matters is faith working through love.You were running well. Who prevented you from being persuaded regarding the truth?

But if you warn a wicked person and he does not turn from his wickedness or his wicked way, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have rescued yourself.Now if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and acts unjustly, and I put a stumbling block in front of him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die because of his sin, and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood.

let that person know that whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

For know and recognize this: Every sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, does not have an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.Let no one deceive you with empty arguments, for God’s wrath is coming on the disobedient because of these things.
