如義人背義行惡、我置窒礙於其前、彼必死亡、爾不警之、彼死於罪、所行之義、不復見憶、我必索其血於爾手、

如義人棄善作惡、我任其陷罪、至於死亡、彼所為之善不復繫念、死於罪戾、爾既不示之、我亦必罰爾。

如善人離善行惡、我聽其陷罪、以致死亡、爾不戒之、必死於罪中、彼所為之善、不得記憶、而其喪命之罪、必責問於爾、

“ Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.

“ Or suppose a godly person turns away from their godliness and does what is evil. And suppose I put something in their way that will trip them up. Then they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The godly things that person did will not be remembered. And I will hold you responsible for their death.

Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand.

“ If righteous people turn away from their righteous behavior and ignore the obstacles I put in their way, they will die. And if you do not warn them, they will die in their sins. None of their righteous acts will be remembered, and I will hold you responsible for their deaths.

Now if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and acts unjustly, and I put a stumbling block in front of him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die because of his sin, and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood.

Again, when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and commits sin, and I place an obstacle before him, he will die; since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require from your hand.

“ Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.

Again, when a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thy hand.

Now if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, and I put a stumbling block in front of him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die because of his sin and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood.

Again, When a righteous[ man] doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

“ When a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I set an obstacle before him, he will die. If you have not warned him, he will die for his sin. The righteous deeds he performed will not be considered, but I will hold you accountable for his death.

“ Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he will die. Because you have not given him warning, he will die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered; but I will require his blood at your hand.

我的義人將因信而活；如果他退縮，我的心就不喜悅他。」

至於那些偏行歪路的人，耶和華必把他們與作惡的人一同除去。願平安臨到以色列！

對那些恆心行善，尋求榮耀、尊貴、不朽的，就以永恆的生命回報他們；而對那些營私爭競、不肯信從真理、反信從不義的，就以震怒和憤恨回報他們。

他們說虛妄誇大的話，以肉體的欲望和好色的事來引誘人；這些被引誘的人好不容易才逃脫那些生活在迷途中的人；他們許諾給這些人自由，自己卻是衰朽的奴隸。要知道，一個人被什麼制伏，就成為什麼的奴隸。原來，他們如果藉著認識我們的主、救主耶穌基督而逃脫這世界的汙穢，卻又被這些汙穢糾纏、制伏了，那麼，他們最後的情況就比先前更壞了；因為認識了義的道路以後，背離那交託給他們的神聖誡命，對他們來說，倒不如不認識還好。在他們身上正應驗了這真實的俗語：「狗轉身回到自己所吐的東西；豬洗乾淨了又到汙泥中打滾。」

並且是「一塊絆腳的石頭，使人絆倒的磐石。」他們絆倒是因為不肯信從這話語，而這也是被預定的。

他必作聖所，而向以色列兩家卻作絆腳石和絆倒人的磐石，向耶路撒冷的居民作網羅和陷阱。

拿單對大衛說：「你就是那人！耶和華以色列的神如此說：『我膏立你為以色列的王，解救你脫離掃羅的手。我把你主人的家交給你，把你主人的妃嬪交在你懷中，又把以色列和猶大家交給了你。如果這些還不夠，我會增添給你更多；但你為什麼藐視耶和華的話，做他眼中看為惡的事呢？你用刀劍擊殺了赫提人烏利亞，又娶他的妻子作你的妻子，你藉著亞捫人的刀劍殺了他！現在，刀劍必永不離開你的家，因為你藐視了我，娶了赫提人烏利亞的妻子作你的妻子。』「耶和華如此說：『看哪，我必從你家裡興起災禍攻擊你。我將在你眼前把你的妃嬪奪去，交給在你身邊的人，他會在日光之下、在你眼前與你的妃嬪同睡。你雖然在暗中行事，我卻要在全體以色列人面前，在日光之下施行這報應。』」大衛對拿單說：「我對耶和華犯了罪！」拿單對大衛說：「耶和華已經除去你的罪，你不會死。

愛你律法的人大有平安，沒有什麼能絆倒他們。

大衛也說：「讓他們的筵席成為網羅、陷阱、絆腳石，又成為他們的報應。

那『好土壤』，是這樣的人：他們聽了這話語，以誠實美善的心持守它，並且在忍耐中結出果實。

我的神哪，求你側耳聽，求你垂聽！求你睜眼看我們的荒涼和這被稱為你名下的城，因為我們在你面前呈上的懇求不是因著我們的義，而是因著你豐盛的憐憫。

你們要信任那些帶領你們的人，要服從他們，因為他們做為要交帳的人，要為你們的靈魂時刻警醒。你們要讓他們能懷著喜樂的心做這事，而不至嘆息，因為讓他們嘆息，對你們並沒有益處。

「有個汙靈從一個人身上出來以後，走遍無水之地，尋找安歇的地方，卻找不到，就說：『我要回到我離開的那屋裡去。』於是它回去，發現那裡空著，已被打掃乾淨，擺設整齊，就去帶了另外七個比自己更邪惡的靈，進去住在那裡。那個人最後的情況就比先前更壞了。這邪惡的世代也將是這樣。」

但我們卻傳揚被釘十字架的基督——對猶太人來說是絆腳石，對外邦人來說是愚拙的；

這不法之人的到來，是出於撒旦的作為，對那些正在滅亡的人，使用一切能力、虛假的神蹟和奇事，並且使用一切不義的詭計，因為他們不接受那能使他們得救的真理之愛。為此，神就把一種迷惑人的力量送進他們裡面，使他們相信虛假之事，好使所有不相信真理而喜悅不義的人，都被定罪。

他口中的話語充滿奸惡和欺詐，他不再有智慧，也不再行善。

在聽從者的耳中，智慧的責備就如金環和黃金飾品。

這是為什麼呢？因為他們不是本於信，倒像是本於行為去追求的，所以他們就絆倒在那「絆腳的石頭」上。正如經上所記：「看哪，我在錫安放一塊絆腳的石頭，是使人絆倒的磐石；可是信靠他的人將不至於蒙羞。」

我們都像是不潔淨的人，我們的一切公義都像汙穢的衣服；我們都像葉子那樣凋零，我們的罪孽像風那樣把我們吹去。

西面祝福他們，並對孩子的母親瑪麗亞說：「看哪，這孩子註定要使以色列中許多人跌倒、許多人興起，並要成為一個遭受反對的標記，

「如果你的弟兄對你犯了罪，你就要去，只在你和他之間責備他。如果他聽你的，你就贏得了你的弟兄；

那被撒上種子的『岩石地』是這樣的人：他聽了這話語，立刻懷著喜樂的心接受了它；只是他裡面沒有根而不能持久，一旦為這話語受患難或逼迫，他立刻就放棄了。
