“ Yet your fellow citizens say,‘ The way of the Lord is not right,’ when it is their own way that is not right.

As for them, whether they listen or not— for they are a rebellious house— they will know that a prophet has been among them.

And you, son of man, say to your fellow citizens,‘ The righteousness of a righteous one will not save him on the day of his offense, and as for the wickedness of a wicked one, he will not stumble because of it on the day when he turns from his wickedness; whereas a righteous one will not be able to live by his righteousness on the day when he commits sin.’

“ But as for you, son of man, your fellow citizens who talk with one another about you by the walls and in the doorways of the houses, speak one with another, each with his brother, saying,‘ Come now and hear what the message is that comes from the Lord.’

Therefore, I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all people.For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.

Then they responded and spoke before the king,“ Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or to the injunction which you signed, but keeps offering his prayer three times a day.”

And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God to Chaldea, to the exiles. Then the vision that I had seen left me.And I told the exiles all the things that the Lord had shown me.

“ Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses,“ Go down at once, for your people, whom you brought up from the land of Egypt, have behaved corruptly.

And when the sons of your people speak to you, saying,‘ Will you not declare to us what you mean by these?’

Then the Lord said to me,‘ Arise, go down from here quickly, because your people, whom you brought out of Egypt, have behaved corruptly. They have quickly turned aside from the way that I commanded them; they have made a cast metal image for themselves.’

Then I came to the exiles who lived beside the river Chebar at Tel abib, and I sat there for seven days where they were living, causing consternation among them.
