He said to me,“ Son of man, eat what you see in front of you– eat this scroll– and then go and speak to the house of Israel.”

他对我说：“人子啊，要吃你所得的，要吃这书卷，好去对以色列家讲说。”

他对我说：“人子啊，要吃你所得到的，吃下这书卷；然后要去，对以色列家宣讲。”

他对我说：“人子啊，要吃你所得到的，吃下这书卷；然后要去，对以色列家宣讲。”

祂对我说：“人子啊，你要把得到的吃下去，要吃下这书卷，然后去向以色列人传讲。”

他对我说：“人子啊，把你得到的吃下去吧！吃下这书卷，然后去向以色列家说话。”

他對我說：「人子啊，要吃你所得的，要吃這書卷，好去對以色列家講說。」

他對我說：「人子啊，要吃你所得到的，吃下這書卷；然後要去，對以色列家宣講。」

他對我說：「人子啊，要吃你所得到的，吃下這書卷；然後要去，對以色列家宣講。」

祂對我說：「人子啊，你要把得到的吃下去，要吃下這書卷，然後去向以色列人傳講。」

他對我說：“人子啊，把你得到的吃下去吧！吃下這書卷，然後去向以色列家說話。”

他對我說：『人子啊，你所得的你要喫下去，將這書卷喫下去，然後去對以色列家講話。』

彼諭我曰、人子歟、爾所獲者食之、當食此卷、往語以色列家、

又告我曰、人子、所獲者食之、當食此卷、往見以色列族、以我言相告。

又諭我曰、人子、爾所獲者食之、當食此卷、往諭以色列族、

And he said to me,“ Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the people of Israel.”

The Lord said to me,“ Son of man, eat what is in front of you. Eat this scroll. Then go and speak to the people of Israel.”

And he said to me,“ Son of man, eat whatever you find here. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

The voice said to me,“ Son of man, eat what I am giving you— eat this scroll! Then go and give its message to the people of Israel.”

He said to me,“ Son of man, eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.”

Then He said to me,“ Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

Moreover He said to me,“ Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

And he said unto me, Son of man, eat that which thou findest; eat this roll, and go, speak unto the house of Israel.

He said to me:“ Son of man, eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.”

Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.

He said to me,“ Son of man, eat what you find. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me,“ Take the scroll and eat it. It will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.”So I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it, and it did taste as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter.

As for you, son of man, listen to what I am saying to you: Do not rebel like that rebellious house! Open your mouth and eat what I am giving you.”Then I looked and realized a hand was stretched out to me, and in it was a written scroll.

Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that everyone will see your progress.

“ Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must give them a warning from me.When I say to the wicked,“ You will certainly die,” and you do not warn him– you do not speak out to warn the wicked to turn from his wicked deed and wicked lifestyle so that he may live– that wicked person will die for his iniquity, but I will hold you accountable for his death.But as for you, if you warn the wicked and he does not turn from his wicked deed and from his wicked lifestyle, he will die for his iniquity but you will have saved your own life.“ When a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I set an obstacle before him, he will die. If you have not warned him, he will die for his sin. The righteous deeds he performed will not be considered, but I will hold you accountable for his death.However, if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he will certainly live because he was warned, and you will have saved your own life.”

I came to the exiles at Tel Abib, who lived by the Kebar River. I sat dumbfounded among them there, where they were living, for seven days.

And he said to me,“ Son of man, take all my words that I speak to you to heart and listen carefully.Go to the exiles, to your fellow countrymen, and speak to them– say to them,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says,’ whether they pay attention or not.”

He said to me,“ Son of man, I am sending you to the house of Israel, to rebellious nations who have rebelled against me; both they and their fathers have revolted against me to this very day.

The LORD showed me two baskets of figs sitting before his temple. This happened after King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon deported Jehoiakim’s son, King Jeconiah of Judah. He deported him and the leaders of Judah, along with the craftsmen and metal workers, and took them to Babylon.One basket had very good-looking figs in it. They looked like those that had ripened early. The other basket had very bad-looking figs in it, so bad they could not be eaten.The LORD said to me,“ What do you see, Jeremiah?” I answered,“ I see figs. The good ones look very good. But the bad ones look very bad, so bad that they cannot be eaten.”The LORD said to me,“ I, the LORD, the God of Israel, say:‘ The exiles whom I sent away from here to the land of Babylon are like those good figs. I consider them to be good.I will look after their welfare and will restore them to this land. There I will build them up and will not tear them down. I will plant them firmly in the land and will not uproot them.I will give them the desire to acknowledge that I am the LORD. I will be their God and they will be my people. For they will wholeheartedly return to me.’
