Then He said to me,“ Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

他对我说：“人子啊，要吃你所得的，要吃这书卷，好去对以色列家讲说。”

他对我说：“人子啊，要吃你所得到的，吃下这书卷；然后要去，对以色列家宣讲。”

他对我说：“人子啊，要吃你所得到的，吃下这书卷；然后要去，对以色列家宣讲。”

祂对我说：“人子啊，你要把得到的吃下去，要吃下这书卷，然后去向以色列人传讲。”

他对我说：“人子啊，把你得到的吃下去吧！吃下这书卷，然后去向以色列家说话。”

他對我說：「人子啊，要吃你所得的，要吃這書卷，好去對以色列家講說。」

他對我說：「人子啊，要吃你所得到的，吃下這書卷；然後要去，對以色列家宣講。」

他對我說：「人子啊，要吃你所得到的，吃下這書卷；然後要去，對以色列家宣講。」

祂對我說：「人子啊，你要把得到的吃下去，要吃下這書卷，然後去向以色列人傳講。」

他對我說：“人子啊，把你得到的吃下去吧！吃下這書卷，然後去向以色列家說話。”

他對我說：『人子啊，你所得的你要喫下去，將這書卷喫下去，然後去對以色列家講話。』

彼諭我曰、人子歟、爾所獲者食之、當食此卷、往語以色列家、

又告我曰、人子、所獲者食之、當食此卷、往見以色列族、以我言相告。

又諭我曰、人子、爾所獲者食之、當食此卷、往諭以色列族、

And he said to me,“ Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the people of Israel.”

The Lord said to me,“ Son of man, eat what is in front of you. Eat this scroll. Then go and speak to the people of Israel.”

And he said to me,“ Son of man, eat whatever you find here. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

The voice said to me,“ Son of man, eat what I am giving you— eat this scroll! Then go and give its message to the people of Israel.”

He said to me,“ Son of man, eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.”

Moreover He said to me,“ Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

And he said unto me, Son of man, eat that which thou findest; eat this roll, and go, speak unto the house of Israel.

He said to me:“ Son of man, eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.”

Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.

He said to me,“ Son of man, eat what you see in front of you– eat this scroll– and then go and speak to the house of Israel.”

He said to me,“ Son of man, eat what you find. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.”

And I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little scroll. And he* said to me,“ Take it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.”I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.

“ Now you, son of man, listen to what I am speaking to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth wide and eat what I am giving you.”Then I looked, and behold, a hand was extended to me; and behold, a scroll was in it.

Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.

“ Son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman for the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from Me.When I say to the wicked,‘ You will certainly die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way so that he may live, that wicked person shall die for wrongdoing, but his blood I will require from your hand.However if you have warned the wicked and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die for wrongdoing, but you have saved yourself.Again, when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and commits sin, and I place an obstacle before him, he will die; since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require from your hand.However, if you have warned the righteous person that the righteous is not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall certainly live because he took warning; and you have saved yourself.”

Then I came to the exiles who lived beside the river Chebar at Tel abib, and I sat there for seven days where they were living, causing consternation among them.

Moreover, He said to me,“ Son of man, take into your heart all My words which I will speak to you and listen closely.Go to the exiles, to the sons of your people, and speak to them and tell them, whether they listen or not,‘ This is what the Lord God says.’ ”

Then He said to me,“ Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to a rebellious people who have rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have revolted against Me to this very day.

After Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had taken into exile Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the officials of Judah with the craftsmen and metalworkers from Jerusalem and had brought them to Babylon, the Lord showed me: behold, two baskets of figs placed before the temple of the Lord.One basket had very good figs, like first ripe figs, and the other basket had very bad figs which could not be eaten due to rottenness.Then the Lord said to me,“ What do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said,“ Figs: the good figs are very good, and the bad ones, very bad, which cannot be eaten due to rottenness.”Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says:‘ Like these good figs, so I will regard as good the captives of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans.For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; and I will build them up and not overthrow them, and I will plant them and not uproot them.I will also give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me wholeheartedly.
