我乃敵爾、及爾諸河、必使埃及地荒廢淒涼、自密奪至色弗尼、延及古實界、人足不履之、獸蹄不經之、無人居處、歷四十年、我必使埃及地荒蕪、列於荒蕪之國、其邑毀壞、列於毀壞之邑、歷四十年、使埃及人散於異邦、分於列國、

倨傲為淪亡之先導、心驕乃隕越之前因、

隕越為心驕之繼、謙遜在尊榮之先、

人高傲必致卑下、心謙遜必得尊榮、

主耶和華曰、我必毀其偶像、絕其神像於挪弗、埃及不復有君、其地震驚、我使之然、我必荒蕪巴忒羅、燃火於瑣安、行鞫於挪、傾我怒於訓、即埃及之保障、滅絕挪眾、燃火於埃及、訓民慘怛、挪邑破壞、挪弗日遭敵害、亞文比伯實之少者、必仆於刃、邑民被虜、我於答比匿、折埃及之軛、止其恃力之高傲、斯時日光斂曜、密雲覆邑子女被虜、如是行鞫於埃及、彼則知我乃耶和華、○

彼必荒蕪、列於荒蕪之國、其邑毀壞、列於毀壞之邑、我燃火於埃及、殲滅凡助之者、彼則知我乃耶和華、

告之曰、萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、我必召我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、置其位於我所藏之石、張其王幕於上、彼至擊埃及地、當死者必死之、當虜者必虜之、當刃者必刃之、我將縱火於埃及諸神之廟、彼必焚之、掠之、取埃及地以歸己、如牧者之衣衣、自彼安然而出、亦必碎埃及地伯示麥之柱像、火焚埃及諸神之廟、
