Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.

“‘因此，主耶和华说，看啊，我要使刀剑临到你，消灭你的人畜，

因此，主耶和华这样说：看哪！我必使刀剑攻击你，把人和牲畜都从你那里剪除。

所以主耶和華如此說：我必使刀劍臨到你，從你中間將人與牲畜剪除。

「『因此，主耶和華說，看啊，我要使刀劍臨到你，消滅你的人畜，

因此，主耶和華這樣說：看哪！我必使刀劍攻擊你，把人和牲畜都從你那裡剪除。

『故此永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必使刀劍來攻擊你，將人和牲口都從你中間剪除掉；

故主耶和華曰、我必使刃臨爾、絕爾人畜、

故主耶和華曰我必使利刃臨於爾國、人獸俱被殲滅、

故主天主如是云、我必使鋒刃臨於爾、自爾中翦滅人與畜、

“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will bring a sword against you and kill both man and beast.

So the Lord and King says,“ I will send Nebuchadnezzar’s sword against you. He will kill people and animals alike.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will bring a sword upon you, and will cut off from you man and beast,

“ Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will bring an army against you, O Egypt, and destroy both people and animals.

“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: I am going to bring a sword against you and cut off both people and animals from you.

‘ Therefore the Lord God says this:“ Behold, I am going to bring upon you a sword, and I will cut off from you human and animal life.

‘ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Surely I will bring a sword upon you and cut off from you man and beast.

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and will cut off from thee man and beast.

“ Therefore this is what the Lord God says: I am going to bring a sword against you and wipe out man and animal from you.

“‘ Therefore, this is what the sovereign LORD says: Look, I am about to bring a sword against you, and I will kill every person and every animal.

“‘ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:“ Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and will cut off man and animal from you.

Or[ if] I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.

And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say,[ It is] desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.

And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.I have given him the land of Egypt[ for] his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord GOD.

The word that the LORD spake to Jeremiah the prophet, how Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon should come[ and] smite the land of Egypt.Declare ye in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph and in Tahpanhes: say ye, Stand fast, and prepare thee; for the sword shall devour round about thee.Why are thy valiant[ men] swept away? they stood not, because the LORD did drive them.He made many to fall, yea, one fell upon another: and they said, Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword.They did cry there, Pharaoh king of Egypt[ is but] a noise; he hath passed the time appointed.[ As] I live, saith the King, whose name[ is] the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor[ is] among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea,[ so] shall he come.O thou daughter dwelling in Egypt, furnish thyself to go into captivity: for Noph shall be waste and desolate without an inhabitant.Egypt[ is like] a very fair heifer,[ but] destruction cometh; it cometh out of the north.Also her hired men[ are] in the midst of her like fatted bullocks; for they also are turned back,[ and] are fled away together: they did not stand, because the day of their calamity was come upon them,[ and] the time of their visitation.The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.They shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and[ are] innumerable.The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north.The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and[ all] them that trust in him:And I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterward it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the LORD.

For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I[ am] the LORD.

Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at[ every] moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.For thus saith the Lord GOD; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee.By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them.
