遭遇灾难的时候，倚靠奸诈的人，就像倚靠坏牙和不稳的脚。

投靠耶和华，胜过倚靠人。投靠耶和华，胜过倚靠王子。

你们不要倚靠权贵，不要倚靠世人，他们一点都不能救助你们。他们的气一断，就归回尘土；他们所计划的，当天就幻灭了。

耶和华这样说：“倚靠世人，恃凭肉体为自己的力量，心里偏离耶和华的，这人该受咒诅。他必像沙漠中的灌木，福乐来到，他也必看不见，却要住在旷野干旱之地、无人居住的咸地。

看哪！你所倚靠的埃及，是那压伤的芦苇杖；人若倚靠它，它就会插进他的手，把手刺透。埃及王法老对所有倚靠他的人，也是这样。
